Alright, im posting it in here because there is no where else on here that is appropriate, well in all reality this isnt even appropraite seeing as it isn't a religion. But that's not the point. I am here to make the case for Athiesm, please don't try and tell me i am wrong because i could just as easily say the same thing back. All theories on how the universe came to be are just that, Theories, an idea that is unprovable but probable. By the way, these are my reasons, any other athiests on here are free to add.

Reason 1) Why should i put my trust in a book that was written well over 6000 years ago and has been translated multiple times. Alot is lost in translation.

Reason 2) Lucy, Fossils, Homonid skeletons, the footprints of whose name has escaped me at the moment.

Reason 3) Religion was created 'back in the day' to help people explain waht to them was inexplicable. Now that we have modern sciences and advanced technologies we don't need fables and stories to tell us how something happened, when we could just as well go figure it out through science.

Reason 4) I wasn't alive back then, and neither were any of you, so how do you know exactly what happened? How do you know that it did? Just because some guy wrote it down in a book doesn't mean its true. Don't beleive everything you read/see.

Reason 5) I can't see God, I can't touch God, I can't hear God, why should I believe that 'he' is in charge of my life?

Reason 6) How can one religion have so many different branches? and how can people within those branches convince themselves what is right and wrong depending on their own circumstances?

Reason 7) How can their be so many different religions? and what gives you the right to think that you are better than the other religions? Their relgions are equally as valid.

Reason 8 ) How can you put blind faith into something that is so self contradictory?

Feel free to argue with me and bombard me with bible verses but i really don't think that i will ever convert. I'm not saying that i think you are wrong, but i certainly don't think you are right, every religion in my eyes is equal.

Atheism is a cult like Scientology or Mormonism.
Only an idiot doesn't believe the Son of God, who is God rose from the dead after being killed for everyone who had ever or would ever lives sins. He loves us THAT much! Praise Jesus!
The Bible explains it all so perfectly that it would take a stunning suspension of disbelief to doubt it. Now turn or burn, there are no grey areas in faith.

Why do you put your trust in scatter brained atheist psuedo-scientist who make up random theories and then exchange them every month for new and "better" ones?

In our corner we have God Almighty, who created the Universe and was there from the beginning. And in your corner you have a human being who has created nothing and has only been around for only the last 1% or so of the Universe's 6010 years of existence.

Based on your flawed logic one could claim that the Bible is false because there are gorilla fossils, or bird fossils, or dolphin fossils. The existence of now extinct species of completely distinct and non-human species does not prove that the Bible is false. There are still Neanderthals(aborigines) living to this day in Australia. And there are plenty of other so-called "missing link" sub-species like the sub-Saharan Africa Negroidials and Polacks who still live to this day. I find the theory of evilution to be EXTREMELY racist.

First, the concept that religion was created to explain the ongoings in the natural environment is pure conjecture. It's a strawman argument.

Second, science has never been able to figure anything out. Scientist have OBSERVED many of God's actions and creations, but no scientist worth his psuedo-degree will ever tell you that he understands the very source and underlying reason behind the laws of physics.

I can't see gravity, I can't touch gravity, I can't hear gravity, so why should I believe that something is holding me to this planet?

The Hand of God is evident in all creation. Natural Design is an undeniable FACT. The idea that the universe, and our own eco system, is some random happening is utterly ridiculous. And if you want to claim it's not random then you have to admit that everything has been carefully programmed by a programmer. It's either random(and could those produce unpredictable and, well, random occurrences) or intentional(which would show as a set and unchanging plan of action) and we all know intentions stem from a conscious will, not a nothingness. You can't have it both ways.

There is only one True Religion and that is True Christianity. PRAISE!!!
No "convincing" is needed. God tell us what is right or wrong. No need to think for ourselves.

There is only one religion: True Christianity. GLORY!!!
How can two contradicting doctrines be equally valid? That, like your atheism, makes no sense whatsoever. True Christianity is the True Religion; Therefore, all others are automatically false. That's pretty simple logic.

If you do not wish to convert then why are you here? What do you not comprehend about the words "SAVED UNWELCOME"? You can't even wrap your head around that simple statement and you think you can challenge us in an intellectual debate?
