Again im going to ask why the idea of someone burning in hell gives you pleasure. And please explain why someone is going to hell for playing in a ***expletive*** heavy metal band? It just seems a little bit harsh especially since they just want to make people happy.

And therein lies one of the problems. It is not useful and it may indeed be detrimental to be happy here on Earth.

Everyone goes to Hell by default. Only by accepting Jesus Christ and following in His footsteps (Ecclesiastes 12:13) can Heaven be attained. Words and lyrics that fail to praise Jesus are distractions.

We've been through this before. You should not fall into distractions. Based on the verse above it is a sin. Based on the Bible that sin is as bad as rape, murder, or wanton genocide that has not been called by Jesus.

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

We (and perhaps you if you Repent) still have plenty of time (=Eternity) to be happy in Heaven!

Ok so someone says that I cant call beating your children abuse if it falls under religious freedom. However Religious Freedom only means you have a right to believe whatever you what not that you can do whatever you what. Religion does not exempt you from the laws. There currently are not any supreme court cases involving Religion and child abuse there are some focused on other issues: see Reynolds v. US in which the supreme court ruled polygamy was not protected under the first amendment. They cited that there was a distinction between religious belief and action that flowed from religious belief. They stated that congress could not outlaw belief however they could outlaw action. Other supreme court cases involving Religious actions have cited this case including Davis v. Beason another case involving Religious Polygamy. In a supreme court case involving child abuse it is likely that one of these cases would be cited. A case in which Religous child abuse was an issue was in Kin Park Thaing's case where she took a plea deal and pleaded guilty to battery with moderate bodily injury.

But the Bible says in three places that corporal punishment is beneficial to children, not harmful.

Pro 20:30 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

Pro 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Prov 23:13-14
13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

Ok so beating your children is now child abuse under the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment act (Public Law 93-247) You can read the law here:

But here is a definition of child abuse in the law:

For purposes of this Act the term "child abuse and neglect"means the physical or mental injury, sexual abuse, negligent treat-ment, or maltreatment of a child under the age of eighteen by a person who is responsible for the child's welfare under circumstances which indicate that the child's health or welfare is harmed or threatened

thereby, as determined in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary.

So i would avoid beating your children if you dont want a long jail term. Also the first amendment does not allow you to break laws such as this even if you believe it is right.

The reason that many Christians consider self harm a sin is because in the bible there is mention of a false religion self harming. (See 1 Kings 18:24-29) However the bible also quotes:
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” Corinthians 10:13

There is also a quote from the bible that says not to beat your children:
"A child’s heart has a tendency to do wrong, but the rod of discipline removes it far away from him." Proverbs 22:15

Fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

Now on to the definition of Emo:
a style of rock music resembling punk but having more complex arrangements and lyrics that deal with more emotional subjects.

Emo music is not satanic. Nor does it state that one religion is better than another. Most Emo bands write their music to help others escape self harm and suicidal thoughts. For many people this music is the only place where they feel understood. If someone is self harming i would suggest going to see a psychologist, however I know your "True Christians" dont believe in that so just talking to your children and encouraging them to be more open and to pray for guidance is the next best thing.

Oh friends, I am just so shaken deep in my spirit! I have learned that one of my children has been cutting herself. Yes, cutting herself. Like a side of beef. And why? Because she has been converted to the EMO Cult and now follows this ritual because she thinks it will bring her salvation from suffering. Or something. It doesn't make any sense. Clearly Satan is fighting for her soul.

I found out that a friend of hers gave her an old i.pod (a musical devise to listen to music without others knowing because the sound goes directly into the ear - I learned this is one of Satan's favorite tools). On this i.pod one band was featured more than any other: Black Veil Brides.

Being a good mother and diligent home educator, I did some internet research on this band. I spent at least three hours so now I know everything there is to know. This is what I can tell you:

This band is a leader in the EMO Religion. They are like the High Priests, but more than just High Priests, as they command an Army.






This Army's sole purpose is to turn people away from the Saving Grace of Jesus. The EMO theme is that everyone needs to DIE.
I read that even the South Park cartoon blamed them for all the suicidal girls and EMO problems in this country.

Leader encourages people to punch each other in the face
to show their allegiance and blind obedience.

Their music is all about hating life, cutting, suicide, being depressed, wearing rebellious hair in the face,
skinny jeans and black clothing. Also pornography:

I don't know what's more disturbing, the person licking blood off the ax,
or the person pleasuring himself watching it.




Please pray for us as we discipline our daughter properly.

This is not true. They have helped me so much, I am not emo and I do not self harm. This band helps people to stop cutting and have saved lives. They have told people that a saviour will be there. Black Veil Brides! My ultimate favourite band. Andy Sixx ( Andy Biersack ) is the lead singer and he is a beautiful, incredible singer. He doesn't promote suicide or cutting. He sings for the complete opposite and begs us to stop selfharming. I was a cutter and their music healed me. The song they sang 'saviour' saved my life. They always beg us to stop. They are amazing. Honestly, they are not the reason she cuts. You should seriously look into what's going on in Her head but I guarantee it is not the music.
