This thread has inspired me to create a new thread explaining why we follwo God's law using stories that even some of you simpletons can understand. I suggest you read it before you make yet another "but but but ... he raped her!" comment.

Yes, he raped her. Yes, that is horrible. Yes, under secular law, he will go to jail like he you all say he should. We all agree on these points. We just happen to have read more of the Bible than John 3:16 and know that he should also be forced to marry the girl. What don't you understand?

So we shoudl all agree that the following comments are no longer valid in this threda:

1) "You guys condone rape." We don't we actually demand the death penalty for it, too.

2) "The rapist should be punished!" We agree.

3) "But the Bible says we should love one another." We love our fellow man so much that we want to make sure he knows EXACTLY what the Bible says.

Any further questions or can we get back to worshiping God now?

A rapist should be prosecuted by secular law. However, at the same time, by Biblical law, he must off the victims father, 50 shekels to wed the woman. Failure for the girl to accept this kind off results in her being damaged goods and unfit for marriage. If she became pregnant, the child would be a bastard.
The way I see it, it is pretty selfish for a woman who was given the miracle of being able to give birth, to not allow her child to have a father. Broken homes are a leading cause of street violence and gang banging.

All of this dirty business is shame, I assure you we all agree. But there are a multitude of victims. Do not shut them out.

Broken homes are definitely not the leading cause of street violence and gang banging. I only know my mom and im a soldier in the US Army defending the right for you to have these beliefs not some street thug. But the point is the intercourse was only for pleasure on the mans side, she had nothing to do with it and its not her fault.
