Re: WARNING: World of Warcraft Game Causes Demon Possession!
Another thing I have to say about the first post I posted.
I know that sinning is sinning, and their is no in between, but I want to know WHY. Yes, there is either right or wrong, but sometimes its very easy to get them confused! And just when you think that you have it right, shades of gray appear.

But I also have another side of the story.
In technical terms, a computer game is nothing but binary files that are put together and combine to form a complex image. The demons on screen are just pixels, and arn't actualy real...
Now, don't judge me on that, as I am a true christian, but I like to ask questions about things that are bugging me and are on my mind.

Re: WARNING: World of Warcraft Game Causes Demon Possession!
Hmm. I have never seen someone get dressed so fast in my life... I have a slight feeling this video was staged. I dont know the motive, but theres always a possibility. In my opinion the boy was throwing a tantrum. I also think that you guys shouldn't insult each other, because it sounds like you are still in school (referring to some of the remarks...)
AND, is there proof that he was actualy playing world of warcraft?
Blizzard is a very clever group of people, and they force the player to BUY the game, and then pay MONTHLY subscriptions! They structure the gameplay in such a way, that it takes years to complete all the quests and achievements... And it takes about 8 Months to get from level 1, to level 80. That is a ridiculous amount of time spent on a computer game, in my opinion. There is a possibility that this boy was playing this game for 2 years, and threw a tantrum because all his achievements and level 80 charactors were lost... moving on.
Right, I am finished with the insults about people insulting other people (lol)
Let me tell you guys about myself.
My name is thomas, and I recently turned 16 years old. I gave my life to god about a year ago, with the help of peter, the most amazing person I have ever met. I have to tell you guys about something, world of warcraft uses real demon names, as some of thier monsters that the player must kill. This is a reason alone, not to play the game. It is simply delving in rubbish that could cause you to go down the wrong path. Or maybe not. It depends on the person and their age.
Despite that, I still play the game, and have been playing for the past week. Luckily for me, I am playing on an illiegal server (free server)
and dont get the opportunity to befriend over 7 000 000 people like in the actualy server. I only happen to get 3000 people, but the upside of this, is that I dont devote my entire life to the game, because the developers of the free server have made is so the player doesnt HAVE to spend such a long time playing, only about 1 week and you can hit level 69 like me. (it was holidays at the time so I had time to waste)
Now on to my main point.
World of warcraft does not go against christianity DIRECTLY,
BUT, it does feature demonic attributes, such a monsters classified under demons, and various other things.
This is coming from a person that has played computer games as a recreational hobby for YEARS now, but I recommend parents not to let thier children play games untill they are at least 14 years old, as they are not mature enough to understand that they are NOT REAL. (I wish my parents did that)
I have played nearly every game in the book over the years, and I could be classified as a ''computer geek'', but thats not entirely true.
I wish I didnt play computer games, as I agree that all violent games are not ''the christian thing to do'' , but I do because I have been doing it for so long, that I would be slightly bored with out it and its enjoyable to do it with friends.
I also happen to have the gift of socialising with large groups of people (which I get from my dad), and I am an athletic person (if you wondering).
I try to live every day by gods word, and I have one last thing to say.
Why does god see sin all at the same level?
In human terms of law enforcement, playing a violent computer game, and taking drugs is a very big difference in terms of punishment. (bad example I know.)
But, god would see it the same, and send both people to hell.
Why does god dish out the exact same punishment for something SO different?
Thats my question for today
see you guys around!

Video games are a fantasy and playing them is a waste of time. These nerds need to get their heads out of the clouds and wake up to the realities described in the Bible.

Don't try to weasel out of this. You don't need to have the Bible memorized word-for-word thought, but by you not understanding this it shows you do not have the proper understanding of the Bible. This is why it is imperative for you to study the Bible everyday. It is God's Word, is it not? Through further Bible study I know you can be Saved(c). You strike me as an earnest seeker of the truth and I believe that with a little guidance you may someday become a member of our church and go to Heaven.Originally posted by Buckley View PostWe'll just say I don't have the Bible memorized word for word, and this passage slipped my mind.
What she said was "Liberal Christians like you make me sick." That is not a personal attack, but an observation on reality. Liberal Christians feel they can use false versions of the Bible, then not only that, feel they have a right to pick and choose which of God's commandments to follow. "Ooh I like this one about forgiveness....but let's throw out these ones that condemn homosexuals!". It is truly arrogant for them to dictate which of God's laws are applicable.Originally posted by mohler View PostOne of the True Christians on this forum said that I made her sick. People like that make me sick, too. Don't you agree?

5) Yes, wait...I think my church says something about when Jesus died on the cross, it wiped away some of the things put in place by the jewish church. For your sake, I'll say yes.

Now, I am no high and mighty Pastor or Reverend but I do know that going against God is not a wise thing to do if you want to Go to Heaven. How do you think Pastor Zeke or Rev. Jim achieved their lofty status? Was it by a plastic doohickey from the dispenser at Wal*Mart or from years of study and following the Lord. I think what they have to say carries tremendous weight and value and should be considered as much.

Re: WARNING: World of Warcraft Game Causes Demon Possession!
Mohler, no True Christians(tm) here attack or provoke others. If you've seen many of the posts on this site, all too often we have trolls come here just to make trouble and attack us for our beliefs. To answer your question, here are several verses which command us to judge others:Originally posted by mohler View PostI am glad that you brought millions of people to accept Jesus as their savior. That is something to be very happy about. However, you are twisting what I said. I am saying understand their circumstances and make a connection with them. In what way are we allowed to judge others? I am not disputing this, but merely wondering when circumstances allow us to judge others. And thank you for having an intelligent discussion on this matter instead of taking this as a personal attack as some others have.
Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
1st Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
1st Corinthians 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Yea, so I should be fine. I follow the entire Bible. I don't just pick and choose things. If I did, I wouldn't be 100% convinced of my salvation. I am saved by the blood of Christ. (Oh, by the way, you can't copyright your personal church as the only way to salvation. I'm not saying other religions are right. Not saying that at all, but this is not the ONE correct denomination [I'm not even sure it IS a correct denomination]).Originally posted by Rev. But rest assured, I do not omit ANYTHING out of the Bible. It's all there for a reason, right? And I take all of it literally (other than the parables that Jesus told, and said were parables. Then I interpret those as He told us to). So yea. No worries, I'll see you in Heaven. (I know I'll be there, at least).

On my televangelist show which was broadcast to over 90 countries at its peak, I helped bring literally millions of people to accept Jesus as their savior. The reason why I've been so successful is because I believe in the Bible literally and do not twist Scripture.
Where in Scripture does it tell us to "understand others"? Where does it tell us NOT to judge? Indeed we are told several times in the Bible that we can judge others.
