My wife has prayed over our sick children as my father prayed over me and his father prayed over him. If prayer and the power of God didn't make them all well and better than please explain how I got here.

I never use medication and neither have any of my sons or grandsons. If God wants us to suffer we are supposed to suffer. Not to try to sneak out of it. It's always a signal from God and it's your job to figure out why the signal is there and what you have to do to fix it.Originally posted by filip View Post

I think the point the OP (original poster) was making is that when you've got a sick child, don't pray and substitute it for medication. It's the other way around. Giving the medicine is negligence. Sickness is a punishment from God for doing something wrong. By trying to sneak out of that with medication you perhaps fix your body but you destroy your soul. And your soul is much more important than your body. Let's back up for just a second. What is it that Mr. Ripper and philip have against proper child care? Do they also suggest that we give our children Ritalin instead of beating them when they misbehave? Should our children die from illness and then go to Hell because we didn't care for them?

I don't disagree with you, when you say that praying for a sick child can be beneficial, as God gave us the gift of prayer, but we were also given brains, and the ability to learn, and with that there comes a responsibility to use what we learn to help others around us. so surely giving medicine to a child is the opersite of negligence (?)Comment

Clearly, the only way to get rid of disease is through prayer and figuring out why exactly God was angry at the child.
