Good day to all of you medieval human beings, who seem to be caught in the past. Here is a young woman who is feeling very embarrassed to be calling herself christen. This would be because I have discovered that people such as you exist.

I have been bullied since a young age, but have finally found true friends at my school. Before that I was a year in a christen school and from 4th to 9th grade I was a member of the local junior church choir. I'd be late for school in the small grades on rainy days, as I absolutely had to save all the worms on the ground, as I'd be sad to know they'd be stepped on. I love animals, and have a greater sense of justice, as I AN ASPERGER, fell great EMPATHY for others.

True, my face doesn't change much and my voice can be monotone, except that is what it sounds like to the listener. I sound perfectly cheerful and joking, but it simply can't be heard or seen like I'd want it to be. I am an adult and have asperger's syndrome.

And I as a human being feel hurt that you show so little respect for other who are different. YOU are the evil ones then. As I recall, God preaches that one show compassion for others, and YOU people do not.

You call yourself Christian, but you seem to be uncertain what the Bible says about compassion. True, we should be compassionate toward our brothers and sisters in Christ, if you read the following passages in context.

1 Pet 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

1 Jn 3:7 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

But we are not to show compassion indiscriminately.

Jude 22-23 And of some have compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

God Himself is not compassionate to all.

Rom 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Anyway, we'd like to know more about you, why you call yourself a Christian. So please start a thread in the introduction forum and tell us what church you go to, what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.

I have no 'favourite' verse.

If God is the father, then all human are his children, and such we are all what you'd call brothers and sister. Thus you must show compassion to me, as I do to you, that is if you really follow the bible as much as you preach others must.

And Jesus never found me. I chose to go to choir, even if I am not from a very believing family. However, in the later years my faith has been weak, as the 'big man in the sky' saw fit to not just 'curse' me as you'd call it, with a 'mental disability', but also to answer my first true prayer by taking away my grandfather whom I prayed would live. If anything God seemed to leave me when I showed him the most devotion. Several times he took away the things that I cared for, be it to have my 'friends' scorn and ridicule me, or to take away my two cats whom both were like siblings to me, as I was never blessed with any.

I am a Protestant as it is the religion that is most common in my country.

And not having a favorite verse clearly proves that you're not a Christian, anyone who has ever opened the Bible and read even one verse has a favorite verse, because everything the Bible says true, awesome and useful. Not having a favorite verse means not having read anything of the Bible.

I've read some of the bible in my religion class, and 'awesome' is by far not my own personal meaning. Rather I find it just as evil as you seem to find me. For centuries people have killed in the name of God, and if he truly is as Jesus states a loving a caring existence, then he'd never let anyone be killed, ridiculed or harmed for what he has let them be born as!

I was born like this and has all of my days been different without a reason and have asked of this 'loving father in the high' to give me a sign of his existence, for it I should suffer so, how could he really be a caring father at all!?

Asperger's Syndrome as it is called, does not consequently mean you can not feel empathy. READ about it, will you! We do not always notice if someone is hurting, and such do not respond. Without knowing we can not help.

You raise a good point about the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of believers, but this is easily explained through the doctrine of adoption.

Eph 1:3-5
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Verse 3 tells us God is the Father of Jesus Christ, and verse 5 tells us that we Christians -- those who have heard the Gospel and believed in Jesus (Eph 1:13) -- have been adopted as God's children through Jesus. God becomes our Father and other Christians become our brothers and sisters only when God adopts us. There is another famous passage that speaks of adoption.

Rom 8:14-17
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Not everyone is a son of God, only those who are led by God's Spirit. If we were all God's children, why would He have to adopt anyone through Jesus? You can only adopt someone who is not your child in the first place. Ephesians 1:5 tells us we have been predestinated to adoption. God chose who He would adopt before He created the earth (verse 4). But He doesn't want to adopt everyone. He predestinated many to be receptacles of His wrath designed for destruction.

Rom 9:10-24
10 When Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth)

You said earlier you call yourself a Christian, and you say now your faith is weak, but I take it you do still have some faith. So what kind of a God do you believe in? You don't seem to know the God of the Bible very well. How do you know what God is like?

As for the last update of my rage: My grandfather was a kind man. And I had never asked for anything in my life other than that. I did not simply ask him: I pleaded. I begged with all of my heart for him to save a sweet person whom was loved by many. I did not say: 'gimme'. I cried for hours without end begging him please to be so kind, so generous, so grand as to save my grandfather. I have been told that he is an almighty being, yet I tolerated being who I was without asking him to 'fix' it' I simply was wondering why he'd made me so. I never got an answer, and I still don't. But I know a way to explain it to others now. I don't have to call myself a freak anymore.

As such I had at least hoped he'd be so mighty and save him. I knewit was along shot, and with all the other people that have it much worse I've always scolded myself for being a selfish person. I as being ME is selfish. But not all aspergers are. Please keep that in mind. I know that I haveno right to ask him of anything, for now I have friends and I am love by kind people who cares, and people everywhere have it worse than me. Say, do you pray for them? I do. I try to pray, ask for them to be feeling better. Do you also? Have we at least that much in common? Praying for those people who sacrifice all they have to help others, yet not getting anything in return. Please say you do, I so hope their is at least some kind of good in you.

I believe in the God that is father to Jesus Christ whom I happen to have very much respect for in case you should ask.
