The way I see it, there are two kinds of religious people. The first kind will gladly explain to you in detail not only what they believe, but also why they believe it. Their understanding of evidence and logic may make your head spin, but at least you'll know where they're coming from.

The second kind simply assert that something is the case. They almost never go beyond that, but if they do, it will be only to something like "I feel it in my heart," as though their emotions were a special red telephone to their god. If you've ever tried to have a discussion with such people, you know that it does no good to point out that lots of people "feel in their hearts" lots of mutually exclusive positions, that they cannot all be right, and that they've provided no test for determining who is hearing from a god and who is simply engaged in wishful thinking. I think you've found yourselves an example of the second kind.

All I know is that God and Jesus aren't the type to hate. That's Satan's job.

No, Satan's "job" (according to ANY Bible, not just the KJV) is to be God's "go-to" guy for whatever dirty crap God needs doing (but doesn't want to soil His hands with) or to be blamed for whatever human failing (that, oh yeah, God gave us ).

Kinda like two schoolyard bullies who play off each other. "I'll stop him from beating you up for your lunch money (if you give me your lunch money)". Meanwhile the other one is saying the same thing to a bunch of other kids, and you see them after school splitting the profits and laughing that they don't even risk getting their knuckles skinned this way.

But everyone knows the bully in the white hat is the good guy, amirite?

And as for God/Jesus not hating _anything_? Must be nice to know how God feels about things BETTER THAN GOD HIMSELF:

Deuteronomy 16:22 "Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth."

Here's an awesome idea: READ THE BIBLE. See what it really says. Then take all those false ideas about God and Jesus that false "Christians" have been filling your head with all these years and LOSE THEM. They're not doing you or anyone else any good.

No, I agree with the Bible, it's just you guys I disagree with. Strongly, I might add. I don't believe God is capable of hate, joy and sadness yes, but never hate.

Kenny, this doesn't make sense. You disagree with us, but we're quoting the Holy Bible. You say you agree with the Holy Bible, but when a passage is brought to your attention, you ignore it. Let me try and make this clear enough even for you.

God is capable of hate:

"And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you:
for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them."

"And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images,

Okay. So we've established you do not believe the LORD when He says point blank He hates specific people. We've established you believe things about God that are not found in the Holy Bible (and are, in fact, contrary to the Holy Bible).

Do you also dismiss Jesus Christ as being the only means of Redemption? Do you similarly ignore where the LORD tells us those who do not believe will be judged righteously? Do you doubt the LORD's righteousness as well?

I'm just wondering if God is mostly a foggy, vague concept for you, indistinguishable from your own conscience.
