American Sniper is an extremely disturbing film!

Friends, I just got done watching American Sniper, the true story of American hero Chris Kyle, and I have to say there are some serious problems with this film and the values it promotes.

First of all, it depicts Chris Kyle having premarital sex with two different women. He winds up married to one of them, but things don't get much better from there. In one scene, his pregnant wife even offers him phone sex while he's deployed in Iraq!

Also, the f-word is used several times.

This movie has been promoted as a film that celebrates good American, Christian values, a film any good Republican parent might use to foster a sense of patriotism in their children.

Well how are they going to do that when the damned thing is too filthy to let children see?

I only hope the real Chris Kyle repented for his premarital sex and got saved before he died.

I also hope real Navy Seals and Marines don't use cuss words like they do in this flick.

That's got to be against the Military Code of Conduct or something.

I posed this question here: American Sniper: Fit for children? I think there is all manner immorality in this film and I will take the kids, but cover their eyes during the sexy parts.

So typical of Hellywood to make a film about decent American values and put a mans indiscrimination in IMAX.
I know box office sales have plummeted over the years. No doubt because the constant joo 'poor me' whining is finally getting to old and the population is returning to core values and Jesus.
I am surprised they did not include a bunch of homofagual soldiers rectally penetrating one another in a mosque to draw in the queer segment.

I was personally disappointed there were no slow motion head shots enabling a good view of the defective brain matter of a moolime spray across the 100 foot tall screen. Maybe there will be a sequel.

I haven't seen this movie yet and I don't plan to see it but I already know that it is full of disgusting Hollywood propaganda, and don't get me started about Clint Eastwood. He's no Chuck Norris.

Brother F_M, as I said on Brother Alex's thread, my boys loved this movie. They probably didn't even notice the use of the f-word, because in this part of England it is used so often - almost as a form of punctuation - that they have learned to filter it out.

As for the s-e-x, they didn't mention it. But my husband says that they hissed and booed and shouted Revelation 17:5 and other appropriate verses until the rest of the boys and men in the audience joined in with cries of "Put your clothes on, whore!" The cinema manager (a member of our Church) has offered us free tickets on the basis that their Godly behavior enhanced the cinematographic experience for his other patrons.

One thing I'll say in this movie's favor, at least when they showed those crippled amputee vets toward the end, they didn't show them entering a house of worship.
