    HappyRock Baptist Church gets a Baptismal Font!

    It's been two months of construction: stone dust, shifty-looking workers, noise interrupting Bible study and more stone dust, but I can finally announce, HappyRock Baptist Church now has a proper Baptismal Font! It works very nicely with the architecture of our facility. HappyRock Baptist Church is such a serene compound.

    Just in time, there's a private Baptism scheduled for after Sunday service. Salina will be welcomed to the fold.

    And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
    That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

    And a big thanks and God Bless to Basilissa, for fixing the photo in my OP. I'll get the hang of this forum interface.

      I'm sure Jesus couldn't be more pleased!

      Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

        Amen, Sister!

        I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. But He that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

          It is certainly very luxurious and I just adore the color scheme - so tasteful!

          Our local church's baptismal pool is more modest - rather in the style of this. (I regret that I do not have a photograph, as Pastor Steve discourages the use of electrical equipment in close proximity to water.)

          As a rule, though, the pool is only used in the very depths of winter as Pastor follows Christ's own preference for outdoor baptism.

          In the absence of a river, we tend to use the sea - careful to choose an area where the tide washes away the sewage outflow. This is why I insist that my male children are all strong and competent swimmers.

            Thank you and God Bless, Sister Joanna, but credit where credit is due, my houskeeper and cook, sister Sarah, was responsible for choosing the decoration. She's quite shrewd for a woman, and I didn't have to hire a fag.

              Hello Leroy,

              It looks really nice. Do I see bubbles in the picture? That would be an awesome addition to the already homely setting. Great job!

              Kind regards,

                Of course, good Brother Roland, of course.

                Faithful Brothers and Sisters of Landover Baptist Church are welcomed with open arms, at any time, free of recompense. The HappyRock Baptist Church building proper has 36 rooms. There are two apartments over the Coach House, but our groundskeeper Guilherme, his wife Beatriz (she runs our gift shop) and their five brown children occupy one; the other is left vacant, due to some ventilation issues with exhaust from the cars below.

                Sisters unaccompanied by their husbands are generally discouraged, but will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and will likely be billeted on my wing, for security.

                Part of the Church building proper can be seen behind me in my profile photo, but here are a few others:

                Guilherme does wonderful work. He's so happy to not be picking produce.

                    Our old baptism font, and a view of the grounds.

                    When we inherited the grounds this was a fountain. We converted it to our baptimal font, but couldn't use it in Winter.

                        She's allowed two hours of (filtered) internet a week. She may join, but two hours doesn't leave much time after researching good housekeeping tips.

                            Outstanding to have such an inviting pool of Christ-blessed water for the unsaved scum to be immersed in and rinse away the filthy sin. Well done!

                            Still, I have to wonder about the attraction of homosexuals to such a wonderful fountain. I trust you have a security detail to keep the queers from jumping in and engaging in homo-rectal intercoursing? I would hope that fags are shunned and turned away at the gates of the compound upon identification, but you just never know with sissies.

                            The bath houses (or any bodies of water) were always my preference for gay sodomy trysts, when I made the disastrous choice to be queer. Something about packing mud under water always seemed to make my sin less severe, when no one could actually see the penile-anal coupling and thrusting.

                            Have you considered a fail-safe method of posting Scripture above the tub to deter potential gay sin?

                            Galatians 5:16 "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."

                              A valid point, good Brother Harold, which is why the new baptismal font is indoors; the old font has been converted back to a tranquil fountain, that the pious may use for reflection upon the Lord's word (Proverbs 14:27).

                              Regarding security, our four gates are closed and locked at sundown, and the entire three-acre enclosure is electrified. Nothing lethal, mind, but extremely unpleasant. About the same amount of current as a Tazer, or cattle prod.

                              On top of that, Otis and Happy have run of the grounds after dark. Guilherme and Beatriz's children are quite terrified of the hounds, but Otis and Happy love to chase them for exercise. They'd never harm them.

                              And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
                              That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
