    Know your Angels

    http://www.clarifyingchristianity.com/angel.shtml
Although we would not enter a debate over this point, angels seem to be a “creation”
just as the living creatures here on Earth are a “creation.”

In this way, angels can have different appearances from each other,
just as a lion, an eagle, and a human look different from one another.

There is no question about it, things are not boring in Heaven!
A very good page of an excellent site!

I love angels, especially those of terrifying aspect.

No disrespect intended but Icarus wasn't an angel, he was a greek guy who made wings out of wax and flew too close to the sun.
Now that, that don't kill me can only make me stronger.

The heathen has a point, Sister.

And I'm not sure that third "angel" is male. The Bible indicates that angels are male . . . Perhaps some angels are more "male" than others?

This be all fine and well but I hope no one is worshipping angels which is an ABOMINATION. I know many "new agey" types DO worship the angels like the Cathylicks worship their statues. Praise and worship should ONLY go to GOD alone. I is glad that the website points out that there are NO women or BABY angels! All that is an INVENTION of the DEPRAVED minds and wishful thinking of all the NEW AGER TYPE SINNERS! (who all have a slick ticket down Satan's slide to the smelling bowels of HELL itself!).

              Amen, Brother Love!

I never got the point of all that fantasizing about little baby angels (cherubs), looking all plump and juicy cute but helpless, flitting about just out of reach with no real purpose.

Perhaps they were dreamed up to occupy the perverted minds of Catlicker priests?

                Hmmmmmpffffff,

I don't care what you Homers say. That is a lovely painting.

Some people just have NO taste.

Sister, I will indulge your pureient interests for the greater goal of our learning to appreciate terrible angles of the Lord.

                  Detail

                  Ezekiel 8:2
Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire:
                  from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire;
and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness,
                  as the colour of amber.

If THIS is what's required to gain the serious attention of muffinheads,
so be it. But let's please read the entire passage?

It certainly is Sister Thumper and I must enthusiastically support your impressive taste. Herbert Draper is one of my favourite painters and the "Lament for Icarus" is one of his best. It won a gold medal at the International Exhibit in Paris back in 1900.

You Homers just leave her alone.
Tir'd, and despairing, O celestial maid,
                    I'm caught, I cry'd, without thy heav'nly aid.
Help me, Diana, help a nymph forlorn,
Devoted to the woods, who long has worn
Thy livery, and long thy quiver born.

Paris surrendered at least once since 1900 and was only saved the other time by GODLY American doughboys who would never have gone ''over there' if they knew some homer was painting pictures of Rubenesque milk maidens attempting to fornicate with a dead body and pasting them up all over GAY pari'!

Draper is British--is that better? And those maidens aren't into necrophilia, that's just awful. They're mourning him! They're sad. Maybe they're also sad that they had to go near the French.

I thought the Americans went over to save the Jews (after they got attacked)!

What? Tosh and nonsense. No one gave two hoots about the Christ-killers, then or now. America intervened in WWII because Jesus directed His followers to crush the Japs, which also meant defeating their Papist allies. And I don't care if that painting won a gold medal in gay Paree or the Order of Lenin in Moscow, it doesn't change the fact that decent people don't paint pictures of addle-headed Greeks.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
