Yes, it is Harsha Shah here. I have been telling you about our RME that is Religious and Moral Education classes, yes. There is a very intelligent girl and now she has been organising a study group of many pupils to find Bible verses that contradict each other. yes. I am hoping that this will not be offending to you. Yes.

I am writing the first verse here. Yes, it is something everyone here is very familiar with, it is Luke Chapter 14 verse 26. "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." Yes, Jesus is saying that if you are willing to be following him into heaven you must start hating your parents and specifically your brother. Yes, this is important for the second verse these pupils were presenting to me. Yes.

It is 1 John Epistle Chapter 3 verse 15. "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him." Yes. Here the author is saying that if you hate your brother you are not going to be having eternal life.

Yes. I am trying to teach that all sacred books are sad and beautiful and telling us important issues about the tragedy and karma of being human, yes, of chastity and non-violence the ahimsa, and vegetarianism. Yes. I am very sorry if this is offending you but in the first verse Jesus is saying that you must hate your brother, and in the second one he is saying that if you will be doing as he is telling you to do, you will not have eternal life. Yes. By obeying Jesus we are losing any chance of your heaven. I am thinking that this is very difficult to solve, yes.

Sure, the Bible might say one thing in one place and then something different in another. That is not in and of itself a contradiction. Here is an example. Let's say that you wake up one day and decide that you are going to have a Lezbean affair with Sister Mary Etheldreda. Now, Sister Mary is a pure, heterogeneous Child of the King, with the love of Jesus dripping like honey all over her spirit and soul. She would never choose to be a filthy homer, no matter how much you desired her or how much she desired you. She may not be able to see her own husband as a lying cheating piece of filth, (not that he is) but in Christ's Name, she is Heaven Bound and the picture of a perfect female saint.

But for the sake of my example, let's say Mary woke up on the selfsame day that you decided to turn to homerism and Mary chose the same thing. Does that change Leviticus? Does that mean that she would work something unseemly with you? (Romans 1:27) I think you would use your favorite word (yes), but you would be so wrong. The answer is an empathic NO. Mary is not going to embrace you, begin to feel your body against hers while you abandon yourselves to the lust in your loins. She won't grind against you, your sinful, naughty parts thrusting and releasing until you both explode in a climacteric experience after which you share a Virginia Slims. Smoking is bad for you!

Does my example make sense? If you think it doesn't, then you are beginning to see what I'm saying. The Bible is GOD's Word, not ours, and GOD can do anything HE WISHES TO DO. He wants us to THINK. He wants us to work things out. (Philippians 2:12) So if you see in one place that something happened and later on you see something else, is that a contradiction? NO!

The second verse you mention, 1 John 3:15, simply CLARIFIES Luke 14:26. He is saying that you can NOT hate your brother, but we can hate all the brethren we want. And of course, it backs up another verse, Exodus 20:13, "Thou shalt not kill." Murderers won't find their way to God's streets of gold. If you think about it as a True Christian™ does, you will see that no contradiction exists - only complete purity of truth, because truth is purity, and purity is Jesus, and Jesus is God, and God is Jesus, and Jesus is the WORD. There was no sin in Him (Hebrews 4:15), and since He is the WORD (John 1:1) there can be no fault in the Bible.

So, tell your uppity little friend to go burn in Hell, because she is not intelligent. In fact, the term "intelligent girl" is an ox and mormon.

Context. Can't beat it. The distinction pointed out by Brother Larry is made I must say very abundantly clear in the Passage from I JOHN. I really think you should open your bowels for this young woman in the class who is attempting to do reverse cherry picking. God even includes an example relating to an actual brother, that is a sibling.

There is another word, not used in the passages you gave. That word is sistern. Some ethnic socialist groups are attempting to re-introduce a similar word, sistren, referring to co-conspiritors such as probably exist in India. But my point is that although a word to signify a sisterhood (other than but not necessarily excluding actual siblings) was available to the translators in 1611 they didn't use it.

So sisters are to be hated. Brothers come into a different category and Brethren is a third grouping. Neither sistern nor sistren gets a mention in The Bible. You can check the original translators site here:

I would also point out that in I JOHN God makes it clear that Christians are incapable of sinning whatever word you use so how any contradiction can be read in here is beyond me. Have you been overdoing the Maha Shivaratri?

Brother Larry and Sister Mitza are so correct. These two passages do not contradict one another.

The first says family members must be followers or goodbye. The second says don't kill followers. Brothers are a followers. Someone who does not sign onto the program is no one's brother, he is an outcast.

Hold on a minute: You're telling us you know a woman who is teaching a class with the express purpose of finding Bible verses that contradict each other? This sounds like a very wicked woman to me. Do her in-laws know how wicked she is?

Every intelligent person knows the space in Heaven is finite. 144,000 souls can reside there. It is a constant source of work for St. Peter to choose who has to go to Hell. Obviously, most that arrive at Heavens gates never get in and instead, spend eternity being plundered by Satan and his minions.
I do have a little compassion for those already in Heaven only to be awoken from a dead sleep in the middle of the night by Gods Storm Trooper Angels due to a more righteous man arriving at Heaven. The hapless soul who thought he was going to be at Gods table for all of eternity, to be shed of his white robe and be given a burlap sac. Then sent to Hell so his space can be taken by a more righteous man. Fortunately, no one in Heaven feels guilt for being a better follower of Christ so when I arrive, I'll have no pity for the man whose palatial home in the Heavens I get to take over.

I see from the measurements given:

REVELATION 21 . KJV . look up
15 He that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18a And the building of the wall of it was of jasper:

• The height: 12,000 furlongs
• 10 chains = 1 furlong
• 8 furlongs = 1 mile
• 12,000 furlongs = 1,500 miles
  THE RED SQUARE IS APPROXIMATELY 12,000x12,000 furlongs

A mansion is not a small dwelling. Usually they have landscaped gardens, a lake, extensive outbuildings for motor cars and horses and a boathouse, some mansions would have a heliport and so on so we know the sort of area involved per mansion. I'm quite confident here because God could have said "hovel" or "mid-range suburban house" or even "large CBD villa" and there were words for all those. So we know He means mansion.

The walls surrounding country mansions are a couple of miles long when driving beside them on country roads and a good sized estate would be about 9,000 acres. Some bigger, some smaller but 9,000 acres is a reasonable sort of size. The actual residence would be quite tall, probably needing 3 acres with the outbuildings. There wouldn't be enough room for millions of these.

Urban mansions are a bit smaller. From the map you can see most of the land involved is rural or semi-rural. But I like to be fair and it's possible that the city measured 12,000 furlongs all the way around. The Bible does not say that though. In this case the following map would apply.

• The height: 375 miles
  THE RED SQUARE IS APPROXIMATELY 375x375 miles

Each mansion, even at only 640 acres, would be somewhat more cramped. Buckingham palace for example is 40 acres but there's no room there for much more than garden parties and walks in the park. A good gallop would need about a square mile and game reserves set aside for that are usually a couple of thousand acres. Sutton Park in England is around 2,400 acres and Central Park in America is currently 843 acres. Kings Park in Australia is a little over 1,000 acres. These are urban or semi-urban reserves. There needs to be room for a 375 mile high building in this case.

This would really be the lower limit for anything that could be called a mansion by Heavenly standards and we can see that very few people would be eligible for accommodation at the specified standard, however it's measured. How foolish those people who say that everyone will make it to heaven they'd be packed in like sardines!
