Of course you can't ridicule them. We are not cruel. You may certainly pray with them and it's permissible to inquire of the nature of their particular challenge so we can make sure our prayers are correctly directed.

You may find out if they know where mommy's credit cards are and it's perfectly all right to test their cognitive abilities by having them read off the numbers and expiration date and see if they can tell the difference between a Sears Card and a Platinum card.

There is no reason you shouldn't have them dial 1-900-Landover to speak directly with a Pastor. You can help them help themselves in many ways, but ridiculing bubbleheads is simply not acceptable.

We are nice to everyone here.

Some of Mr. Roberts best friends are retards. Why there's Bubba and Bubba's brother Bubba, Cooter, Dewayne from Dakota (he's not sure if it's north or south) Joe Bob and his sister Jo Bob. The list goes on and on. I've always found all of them very civil and friendly. Actually I started a weekly group meeting for them and have succeeded in signing them all up for both Republican voter registration AND an upcoming full water immersion baptism ceremony.
I think that retards are model citizens. They do what you tell them to do, don't require much maintenance, and can always be locked away in the basement when you are through with them without much protest. They don't give you any of this liberal "I know my rights nonsense".

Mr Jingles, I have never seen anyone on these forums making fun of retardeds. If I had, I would be having stern words with them, you can count on that! Really, we are a Christian forum here, and I can't see any of us ever making light of these ugly drooling monsters.

They are an abomination to the Lord, and quite repulsive to look at. Why anyone would find them 'funny' is beyond me? I guess some folks are just sick in the head.

I for one believe that GOD has a sense of humor. After all, look at the ingenious and ironic ways that He punishes heretics and unbelievers! I can't help but laugh a few giggles when I see a disgusting retard slobbering all over itself, and I can't help but think that JESUS is laughing right along side me.

Well stated, Mrs. Roberts. The spaz type of retarded may require a bit more care than the non-spastic variety (e.g., giving them something to bite down on when they pitch a fit so they don't swallow their tongues and/or making sure their crash helmets are properly secured when the venture out of their homes), but other than that, they're pretty low-maintenance.
