    He doesn't.

At no point does Jesus state that this is how all people should live; rather, it is described how a relatively small group of people, traveling together, survived. Surely you can tell the difference between "We did this!" and "You should do this!"

10For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

Lenin believed strongly in this principle, stating the rich have no right to live off the work of the poor.
So, S/M, explain to me why it is that Obama believes that the poor have the right to live off the work of the middle-class or the rich? That's the same thing Lenin and other socialists believe.

    O RLY?

President Obama is bringing the vile beast socialism to America. On taxation, Obama has "...propose[d] to raise marginal rates for just about every federal tax," and wants to offer "tax credits...to those who pay little or nothing in federal income taxes" (Ferrara). On production, Obama wants to increase the regulation of financial institutions, and increase taxes on corporations (Oregonian, Sahadi). On health care he proposes to dramatically and quickly increase the number of people with health insurance by spending significant money upfront with a program that will cost the federal government "between $50 and $65 billion a year when fully phased in" (Lazewski). And on welfare, Obama wants to replace the Welfare Reform of 1996, which tied state welfare benefits to reduced welfare rolls, with his Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), where states will once again be paid more if their welfare roles increase (White). President Obama's plans are socialistic which drives his tax and spend socialistic policies.
    Please disprove.

      Obama isn't a socialist. He's a Godless heathen Commie.

You said Jesus was a Godless heathen Commie so my comparison is right on the mark.

So when Jesus says He will judge the nations by how they treat the least members of society, He is just telling His traveling companions how to act? You don't believe Jesus' words should be a guide from which we base our moral behavior?

No, Lenin believed everyone should work equally.

        Yes.

        Obama is a capitalist.

I'm sorry but this is plain stupid, I do not think Jesus's Agenda back then was the current state of government superiority. Sure you can interprete in the most silliest ways, this is like asking if he was black.

              Good Lord, son!

              You have it all wrong.

There is nothing to prove that Jesus was a commie in the Holy Bible, so he obviously wasn't.

Communism as a system was invented by Karl Marx in 1849 when he wrote The Communist Manifesto. Jesus lived 2,000 years ago. Was 1849 2,000 years ago?

              There's just no logic.

              But thanks for trying!

I don't understand why you are so mean. I've read your other posts and they are all so hate-filled. You have to accept the warm love of Jesus into your heart!

And anyway, I wasn't talking about government superiority. I was talking about following the example Jesus and His disciples set for us.

Acts 4: 32-33The whole congregation of believers was united as one—one heart, one mind! They didn't even claim ownership of their own possessions. No one said, "That's mine; you can't have it." They shared everything. The apostles gave powerful witness to the resurrection of the Master Jesus, and grace was on all of them.
34-35And so it turned out that not a person among them was needy. Those who owned fields or houses sold them and brought the price of the sale to the apostles and made an offering of it. The apostles then distributed it according to each person's need.

32And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

Acts 2: 41-42That day about three thousand took him at his word, were baptized and were signed up. They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers.
43-45Everyone around was in awe—all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person's need was met.
46-47They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.

42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
                  44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

If you want to believe that, I totally accept your right to do that. But I also would think you were wrong if I could judge you, which I can't, so I won't.
