I never understood the basis behind this. People say that "In the game Oblivion, there are vampires, demons, they only talk about fictional gods instead of the one true god, you can steal, etc."
You see, games like that are meant to be played in YOUR OWN WAY. Yes, there are demons and vampires and the like walking around. Want to kill them? Go ahead, stab him. Say a "Quest" (errand with monetary reward) tells you to go steal that solid gold statue from a museum. Think stealing is wrong? Go ahead, ignore the quest and kill the questgiver.
Also, another topic mentioned is how the story rambles on about "The Nine Gods" and such, ignoring the "true" god. Well, think of it like this. This game was made by a company, who needs to pay their employees. If they replaced their "Nine Gods" with the Christian god, they would get sued to no end, lose all their money, go defunct, and their hundreds of employees would all lose their jobs and have to go find new ones.
Also, just like many people have been told "Nobody FORCED you to come here", I say, nobody FORCED you to play Oblivion. Honestly, you shouldn't have to petition to ban things you don't like. If you don't like them, then leave them well alone.
