    I really don't understand something

    So when I was having a discussion with someone about believing in god I was told that You go to hell for having no faith.

    But I was also told that no matter what your sin is as long as you repent, you got to heaven.

    So let me get this straight. If I don't believe in god I will go to hell but If I murder 10,000 babies and Say I am sorry I got to heaven.

    How does that make sense?

    Any why does hell exist?? Why is god so unforgiving?? Look at if as if you were god and everyone was your children.
    If your child stole a pack of candy from a store would your want them to suffer forever and ever??I wouldn't I love my children anyways.
    If your child didn't agree with your opinions or listen to you would you want them to suffer?? No, you still love them and want the best for them.

    I really don't understand the idea of hell and why you would want someone to suffer for anything. I understand punishing someone for something, just as you would a kid. But eternal suffering?? Why would you wish that upon anyone?
    But if you say I am sorry no matter what it is then its ok all of the sudden. I Just don't grasp that.

      You aren't intended to understand, either you believe or you don't believe. Whether you will be saved is something you will only find out in the afterlife.

          To repent does not simply mean saying "I am sorry". Read the Bible before you make absurd statements.
          Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
          Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
          Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
          Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
          Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
          Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

              No Crime Goes Unpunished. No Man has Ever Committed a Crime against God that has not been punished. From Adam on Down you will pay a penalty for your Sins.

              We have Examples. One is Satan, Adam, Eve. Then Cain then the World. Eternal Suffering that is up to you my Friend. God gives you Numerous Chances to repent. Thousands of Lives most don't think so but it happens.

              Hell has many levels to it. Now you are on the Ground Floor the Place for Repentance. You along with your Freewill to Choose in what direction you would like to go.

              We are on a level of Hell and a Level of Heaven. One Foot in Each Door per-say. Yes your punishment has a Sentence. Adams was 5.5 Days in Gods Time not ours. He knows when your Time is Up then he wakes you up to Face the Music. He knows whats in your heart.
