It would not surprise me if this were a case of demon possession. Goats are a favorite of the occult, and demons inhabiting animals has precedent (Matthew 8, Mark 5, Luke 8)._

Several possibilities spring to mind;
a demon possessed the goat,
a demon is impersonating (imgoatinating?) a goat,
the kids are gaslighting everyone with a Mr. Microphone,
indeed, the goat may be the chatty offspring of some twisted deve and a goat,
some kind of 'vision' thingy, but odd the goat was not on fire,

maybe all goats can talk, but this one let loose the secret,
the goat has a filling in a tooth acting like a radio receiver,
the goat is a misidentified (and surprisingly lucid ) hippy,
the goat is animatronic,
the goat was just kidding.
