i am an atheist. a firm beliver that there is no god. Why? because there is simply no proof. some guys 300 years after the son of your god died decided to write a book about talking snakes and how everything that exists today was created in 7 days. what about science? in a broad spectrum there's proof in that.

What are you smoking? The earliest datable manuscripts of the Old Testament are the Dead Sea Scrolls, which your science types have dated to around 600 years before Christ lived. The earliest Gospel manuscripts that can be unambiguously dated are from fewer than 100 years after Christ lived. Of course, the originals are older than that.

You need to get your facts straight about the claims you make before you go around asking other people to prove anything.

im going to stop trying to convince you guys because i feel as if im lowering myself (no offense). but i will leave you with this: faith is a word used by humans and created by humans to give a sense of security in ones life. but sometimes faith gets out of hand and it takes on other forms. the other forms take the shape of the insecuirty one is trying to escape such as war, death, suffering and all the things you guys consider horrible in this world. if we want to change the world and be happy. we cant just look to a higher power that simply does not exist and diregard all other possibilities. if we do then humanity will eventally cease to exist.

The OP sounds like another one of the people that 'got a raw deal' and therefore is a sour puss. Just beacuse God does not take time out of His extremely busy schedule to instroduce Himself, the OP denies His existence.

Personally, being I have never met the OP nor has 99.99999% of the world (a generous number I might add), I have decided he can not and therefore does not exist. Thing is, more than 90% of the world have a personal relationship with God (probably akin to the OP's relationship with his first cousin). Therefore, since I have decided, it must be so. Such infallible logic!

God created everything from you and I to the universe.God is responsible for all of things made by man,after all God gave us minds to think with.It is his infallible wisdom that is responsible for every thing.

Haven't you ever read a Bible? God gives plagues, wars, and death as punishments! Ever heard of the story of Noah's Ark? What about Moses's Exodus and the plagues of Egypt? Sodom and Gomorrah?

Quit trying to frame God into your terms. You think because God allows all these terrible things to happen to this world that somehow that means He doesn't exist. Ever stop to think maybe He uses suffering as punishment to unsaved trash like yourself?

Again, framing God in your own terms. He lets it happen because it is His will. He creates both light and darkness, pain and pleasure.

the renassiance was brought fourth. culture,arts and the one i hold nessecary, SCIENCE was born again. people looked at things a different way. we actually started to know how our body works, the solar system, things we had never thought imanginable were finally being unveiled.

when we discovered vacinations and medicine guess what? those dieases from the dark ages such as the bubonic plauge is now actually curable! if you got the plauge right now what would you do? pray to your almighty or go to the hospital and actually be cured.

But now we have diseases of the modern age that cannot be cured at all. AIDS, Cancer, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Leukemia, etc. Oh yes, some progress!

in essence, everything you see, use and enjoy today was a result of loss of faith. your car, your cell phone, your computer. if we all still had faith we would still be living in pain and suffering. think about it. i actually want you to think. not just dismiss it and call me a non beliver.

So the whole point of living is to enjoy material objects? You'd rather give up an eternity in Heaven for a Nokia and a trip to Hell? Hey, if that's what you want.

La pluge or plauge ( I think) is the noun.

religion is the number one reason why humanity has not advanced any further. think back to the dark ages. society and comfort was non existant. your body was regarded as a so called housing of the soul. you lived to die so you could go and be with your heavenly father. disease, death, war, pain, suffering reigned supreme back then. and yet they all blindly turned to god asking for relief. guess what happened?
