    Need pastoral advice on whoredom

Pastors, I was putting away my icicle Christmas decorations and creche today when I had an Epiphany about this verse:

    Ezekiel 16:17 (King James Version)

17Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them.

What should I do about my impure thoughts about the Wise Men?

    Pray! Pray! Pray!
You must get this out of your system and let Jesus heal you. The path is prayer.
Feel free to send me a pm detailing these evil thoughts and I'll be better able to help you.
    Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Shocking to me that someone would be aroused and imagine depravities with the Wise men that came to honor baby Jesus.

This could be a grave abomination. While prayer is always a good start, I can well imagine God might send a whirlwind, a fiery sword, or some cancerous malady to correct this disturbing sin.
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

Well that's a new one on me. As a True Christian™ Pastor, I thought I'd sen it all. I can honestly say that I've never run across anyone who had the hots for the three wise men.

Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves.
I'm pretty sure that multiple sex partners is frowned upon by Jesus.

I'm not sure about this passage, because when I think about it and really read it, it does sound a little naughty.

If I was a Bible interpreter instead of a Bible believer, I might say it sounds like someone made silver and golden sex toys that looked like . . . and then . . . did things with them . . .

It's a good thing I don't interpret the Bible and just believe it!

Well, Pastor, in can see I've shaken you up a bit -- you made a typo and you're usually a perfect typist and grammarian. Please forgive me. Just FYI, there's a scene in The Red Tent about committing whoredom with silver & gold. Who knew you don't need a man to be a whore?

Praying -- always good advice. I shook off my impure thoughts, boiled the creche figurines, wrapped them in tissue paper and put them in the cellar til next year.
