So you've decided to permanently reject Jesus. That's a shame. An ex-priest could certainly have helped us win more souls for the Lord and save more people from the doom that is the Cult of Mary.
Besides, I do believe that Sister Tinny is still looking for a husband, and once Saved I'm sure one the first things you'd want to do after repenting years of diddling little boys is to know a woman.

Father Martin, you must be from some sort of small, American branch and never had the chance to visit Rome and get the kind of training needed in dealing with the likes of these Baptwits. Even Notre-Dame graduates know how to negotiate the untamed minds of the American under-class and their misfit admirers.

Imagine you are going to Alaska and want to bring the word of the Lord with you. Do you show up in speedo, wearing brown socks up to your ankles and sandals?

Of course not... although it would be fine for Fort Lauderdale.

By the same token would you arrive Florida dressed in muk-luks and Caribou hides? (granted, in some clubs that would get you past the ropes right away...)

If you show up in an upside down world of twisted and ill-considered logic, a loosely applicable term in these parts, you can't expect to use logic to your advantage. As a missionary in the Amazon rain forest must learn to adapt to his or her surroundings, so must you while visiting this odd corner of the universe.

The first thing I did upon arriving here was send a cheque to Pastor Pistle, the man who was in charge until he was incarcerated. As I suspected, he took the cheque to his local liquor store, stocked up on blended Scotch (how bad is that?) and spent the rest on a local harlot.

I accidentally happened to catch it all on film and since then have had little to no problems here, with the odd exception of my Parish cat showing up garroted and hanging by her ears on the laundry line.

Rethink your commitment to Jesus and remember how much he sacrificed for you and all of mankind. Surely the travails you face here are nothing in comparison to those he faced while bringing the Catholic Church to his children two thousand years back.
