The supposed protestant, said he was descended from apes.
With a statement like that, he's not a Christian.
Acceptance of evolution is a Catholic doctrine, we FUNdamentalist Baptists don't value the evolution doctrine.

There was a point?Originally posted by Father Thomas Martin View PostCheck this vid to see my point.
You have two Catholics, with the slightly dumber one pretending to be a Protestant. Neither knows anything other than their own false Catholic doctrine, and the big punch line is that we Protestants like fellowship with each other after church.
It would have been funnier if the punch line was about how you Catholics like to rush straight home to your liquor cabinets after church.
Pastor Billy-ReubenUpon request I will cite scripture for all these facts in God's Holy Word.

Neither of them are Christians.

Do Catholics believe Jesus died on the cross for their sins? Yes.
Do Catholics believe God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day? Yes.

Isn't that what a Christian is?
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
But he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
Depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:21-23
Having some belief simply isn't enough.
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
James 2:19-20
So if you disobey Jesus (as you do) you might as well stop worshipping Him, He still won't accept you as one of His flock.
As seen above in Matthew 7:21-23..
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luke 6:46If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

Let's say your minister became a "born-again Christian" at the age of 15. Now he is 75. In the intervening 60 years the man has lived an exemplary life. So far as he or anyone else knows, he never has committed a single serious sin. But then, at age 75, comes a change. During one horrible day, he robs a bank, deliberately runs over a cat with his car, commits adultery, blasphemes loudly in public, murders a neighbor, and then commits suicide, dying unrepentant.
My question to you: Does your minister go to heaven or hell?ACTS 5:29

That's an easy one. Once I read as far as "became a 'born-again Christian'", and did not have to read any further.Originally posted by Father Thomas Martin View PostTake this case:

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
John 10:28-29 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
The answer is Heaven. Jesus bought him with His blood, and washed all his sins away.
The part about living an "exemplary life" is a non-sequitur. All his righteousness is as filthy rags. He is saved because of God's sovereign grace ALONE, not because of anything the man did or didn't do.

Do Catholics believe God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day? Yes.O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

- Does it matter how we praise the Lord?
- How the King James Bible Saved me from anal sex!
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
