PS. How do I change the Bible quote beneath my posts? I did not put it there so i guess it must be an automatic feature or something like that. If it is required then thats fine I just don't want it to come across in a bad way as I am not actually religious myself.

You are missing the big picture here. The aim is to get these children Saved(r). Once they are Saved(r) Jesus will wash away their sins, so a few minor issues to get where they need to be are irrelevant.

Baptists are giving away prizes for converting to their faith?! Isn't being accepted by God prize enough?

Of course being accepted by God is enough. But what is wrong with throwing a little bonus towards potential converts. It's certainly an attention-grabber. Heck, back in the early 1980's, I borrowed from time-share marketing ideas and put ads out in the paper saying people will receive a free 13" black and white television if they simply attend an hour-long seminar.

That "seminar" was really an evangelical sermon. Of course at the end, I gave away all the TVs, but I gained many followers from those events.

Church should not be a commercial business. The reason companies do that is to keep customers coming back. Do Baptists really need to resort to this to get their followers to come back?

It seems like an awfully material pleading for followers for a group of people who are against so many material things, including video games, might I add...
