    That makes no sense friend. If we instinctively know virtue why would we need The Bible in the first place? If virtue came naturally to people secular law we humans create would be enough to protect us from sinners.

    So you're subjectively analyzing Scripture, yes? I'm pretty sure the "Holy Spirit" allows you to read the Bible and find that it happens to agree with your preconceived notions already, making it much easier for you to digest. Whereas, the Holy Bible says that the Holy Spirit itself inspired the writers, so it doesn't need further inspiration. It tells you to read it for what it is, since it is the Word of God.

    But, isn't this exactly what you've been doing? For you to claim to be both gay and a Christian, you have to throw out Leviticus (among other books as well). I guess God thought homosexuality was an abomination, worthy of death for over 4000 years, then suddenly He enters into the world as Jesus and changes his mind completely. "Hmm...I guess we can stop killing people for homosexuality. In fact, it's not a sin any more!"

    Friend, I think need to remove the beam in your own eye before judging others (Matt. 7:1-5).

    Except that us gentiles were never under the law in the first place. Of course this also meant that we were never able to get into Heaven until Jesus' sacrifice and Paul bringing the message to the Gentiles. Now if I were to convert to Judaism, and become a Jew for Jesus, then yes I would have to follow the entire law. The thing is I find this very clear, and I can only see one reason that you cannot.

    Learn the context of the passage! You cannot take it in isolation. It is part of the wider Holiness Code which concerned sexual practices in pagan temples. It prohibits homosexual relations in a women's bed within a pagan temple. It has no wider application.

    Leviticus 20:13 (King James Version) 13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
    Context and meaning is precisely the same as above.


    Romans 1:26-27 (King James Version) 26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
    The passage has nothing whatsoever to do with homosexuality, but instead refers to early Christians who left the Church and revered to pagan practices, including participating in both homosexual and heterosexual orgies.

    Contrary to popular opinion, a sodomite is not a homosexual. Learn what the term means.
