How long til He comes?

Many people in my church are excited. We sense that the glorious and triumphant return of the Lord Jesus cannot be far away

Scripture tells us to look for the signs. The growth of knowledge, the spread of the Gospel worldwide, the rise of false churches and cults, great wars using terrible weapons. The signs foretold in the Bible are all around us!!!

That makes our task very pressing indeed in terms of converting souls in time. Then He will come in the clouds, at the sound of the Last Trumpet, and He will rapture His people in the air to be with Him forever!!! And the rest of the world will burn. Will YOU be left behind??? I certainly hope not!!! The earth will be left in a terrible state after the rapture, and eventually it will be burnt to a crisp by God Himself.

While we are told we know not the day nor hour of his return, I think we know it is soon and can probably safely say it will be within 5 years. 2012 has been suggested as a date by many, but we must be careful to distinguish between the messages relayed by demons (eg Mayan calender, etc) and those relayed the spiritual men and women who are true prophets of the Lord.

So, how long do you guys think it will be before the last trump is sounded?

There is no doubt that the rapture is imminent. Not only is prophecy coming true, but Jesus told us, in Revelation 22:12, And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. And Jesus wouldn't lie.

While it may seem that JESUS is taking a while to come, please don't get impatient.

The waiting can seem unbearable at times but there's no sense in getting all uptight about it. We cannot control when He comes.

JESUS is going to come exactly when the time is right, and when He DOES come, it's going to be worth every minute of the wait.

I always keep an eye on the Rapture Index. I figure when it hits 200 that will be the day, but that's just a guess on my part.

Only those who have not been faithful to the Lord question when the day of Rapture is to occur. The Bible is not a book prophecies of when thing will occur, unlike those of false prophets.

1 Thessalonians 4:13
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

It will obviously be this generation when Jesus will return on the clouds. It says so in the Bible.

Mark 13:26-27, 30 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Mark 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Here Jesus tells us that many of us will be in Heaven with Him. I'm sure He is referring to us True Christians™.

Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
