What are you Thankful For this year?

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let us have a thread filled with the warmth of the Love of Christ(tm) and giving Thanksgiving:

Personally this year I am thankful for the 15% increase in Exxon-Mobile stocks. Truly the Lord blesses those who trust in Him to bless their stock portfolio. Why this year alone I had to dig up my Olympic-sized swimming pool to get room for a second garage for my hummers!

And you, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, what are you thankful for this year?

I remember reading this outside a church one time on my way to my aunt and uncle's house for Thanksgiving one year:

If you don't think you have anything to be thankful for... check your pulse!
    I think it says alot.

You're *thankful* that we haven't been Raptured out of here yet? Personally, as long as I have a pulse I will never be Truly Happy(r) -- only when I go Home(tm) will I be happy, Praise Jesus!

I am thankful that my teeth are about the right size for most necks. Also I am thankful for when the sun goes down.

Re: What are you Thankful For this year?

I'm thankful for more than 3,100 dead idolators. Thank you Jesus.

Also, a friend of mine recently got me a snazzy new bookmark for my KJV. I don't want to sound too materialist or greedy or anything, but if you saw this thing, well, it's just a really nice bookmark is all. Just a really considerate, well-thought out gift. So yeah, between the new bookmark and the dead dotheads, I'd say life is pretty sweet right about now.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I am thankful for my wonderful, Godly husband, Mr. Whitford, and will pray extra hard that the coming year will be the year God blesses me and allows me to provide him with the son he deserves (and saves me through childbirth in the process).

Oh Lee Greenwood's song. At one time it had a meaning.

Let us rejoice and be proud. This video is missing something... Blue's Clue's could fill in the blank. Pass a hankie now.

Okay.....I am trying to be thankful! What can I say. I just got my personal property taxes on the house and cars today.

I guess thankful that I do own cars and a house, otherwise they could not tax me on this...

Bless our gov and I pray for them daily. I hope you all do too! This is freedom.

If the Lord leads you to it, he will get you through it.

Re: What are you Thankful For this year?

Today on my way to work I saw a hobo Injun on the street, sleeping in a pile of his own filth with a ragged cardboard sign that read "American Indian, needs money for food". Instead of dropping money into his empty Stag Chili can, which he undoubtedly would have spent on more firewater, I dropped a note that read "You're Welcome- White People". Hopefully it will inspire this young Injun to get off the fire water and get a real job outside the casino or recreational vehicle taco-stand service.

For everything that us True Americans(TM) (white people) have to be thankful for, I believe we need to take into account all that our inferior brown skinned friends who warmed up America for us, like a dog keeps a couch cushion warm while his master is up getting a beer, have done. Because if it weren't for them we wouldn't have such luxuries that we enjoy today such as racially insensitive sports franchises and college mascots, Indian gaming, and the Trail of Tears; a great outdoor hiking spot that promotes exercise and good health today, just as it did in the 1800's.

So this Thanksgiving, try and remember the native Americans of this country who have sacrificed so little to be a part of our society. Because of white European conquest they get to enjoy such lucrative jobs as shampoo testers and janitors.

                          I am thankful that....

Thanks to the steady leadership of Our Godly Commander-in-Chief, there are approximately 600,000 fewer potential Iraqi terrorists disgracing the Earth.

Godly Rev. Mike Huckabee is surging in the polls.

Phony soldiers are being rooted out of Our Military through attrition.

Sen. Larry Craig remains in congress to fight scurrilous and completely erroneous LIEberal smears and accusations.

Our government is listening to all phone conversations, examining all e-mails, and indefinitely imprisoning people that could be considered suspicious to keep us safe from terrorists that want to destroy our freedoms.

                          GLORY!!

Pardon me for gloating, but I am so thankful that my son Skeeter became the lead tire technician at our friendly Wal-Mart Tire & Lube Center. Skeeter is trying to introduce a new policy to refuse selling tires to owners of Cadillac Escalades with 22 inch gold spoke wheels who use food stamps to purchase groceries.

PS I am also thankful that our Sister Thumper has never cooked a steak for my husband Elmer as I know I can't cook a steak like Thumper can.
