Mr. Jones. I would assume that since Christ is God in man, who is the same God of the Old Testament, that you would want to follow Christ's example with the same or increased vigor.

Well my little ray of sunshine, we follow all of God's words. Yes the entire Bible(KJV 1611) from cover to cover. False Christians are the ones who only follow the New Testament. Let me share a few words from our Lord on the very subject.

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

You see Jesus tells us to follow the entire Bible.
Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

What more of Jesus' example should I follow? I have yet to see you quote scripture.

Call me Levi. You were stating it for clarification. I guess, my question is, why were you castigating us for preaching from the Old Testament.

But I have not seen any part of your merciful side. I can easily see that you all are just, but I have not seen any mercy.

For example, I have seem countless threads on (sorry for the usual) stoning, cleansing the earth of heathens, and other what if's that end in some form of death or punishment. But sir, I cant seem to find any threads on missions trips to other countries or even other states, or cities.

We hold a free summer camp for underprivileged children, an ex-gay ministry, a young women's ministry and etc. We have led missions to countless numbers of countries, including Australia, Denmark, Canada, Mexico and Africa. These are a few things our church does. We take works very seriously here at Landover Baptist.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
