Yes, I did. The whole thing's about rock music. I legitimately do not understand. Does this mean that me, as a singer, who doesn't sing rock and roll music, but rather acoustic tracks, is condemned? Or that churches who use their followers who have a passion for music to spread their word about God are wrong? Even the ones that aren't rock?

(Also, please don't read this in a rude tone, because it's not meant to be, but, I don't see how my opinion on music makes me promiscuous, or a prostitute (harlot) and I'm not here being rude to anyone, I'm simply asking a question and trying to help someone.)

I don't believe that you read all that material in such a short time.

If you do, comrade pastor, would you care to find me the verse in which it condemns such music? Also, does you belief here extend to Christian rock? After all, the very essence of the music is worship of the God of Abramham, Issac, and Jacob.

I'm still wondering if this applies to all music, or just rock and roll.

And I've never heard or experienced anyone condemning any music besides rock and roll. So that's why I was talking about what I thought of music... because as far as I know, God's cool with it.

I think that music is a beautiful thing. People love listening to it. I'm a singer, and I really love music. I think that it's a great way to get a message out because so many people like music and listen to it.

There's actually a lot of bands that dedicate themselves to spreading their religious word through music similar to rock and roll. Not all rock and roll is created and influenced by Satan. Rock and roll is a genre of music and what people choose to do with that genre is up to them.

Maybe you could introduce him to some religious bands? If he wants to use his talent or his interest toward music, that would be a great place to start.

Well, my son of 12 somehow got a hold of some rock and roll music, and is now inspired by the devil to play it himself! He asked for an electric guitar, and I need some advice.

There's actually a lot of bands that dedicate themselves to spreading their religious word through music similar to rock and roll. Not all rock and roll is created and influenced by Satan. Rock and roll is a genre of music and what people choose to do with that genre is up to them.

Maybe you could introduce him to some religious bands? If he wants to use his talent or his interest toward music, that would be a great place to start.

My bastard son asked me for an electric guitar not long ago - one of those "flying v" ones (God knows what blasphemous demonic atrocity that could represent). I was heartbroken, I thought to myself..what have I done? How could the little worm speak such vile things to me?

Let me just say, thank God for Prov 22:15: "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him."

Careful guidance from my rod has done splendid things for my boy, and he has made fantastic progress in his journey to letting Jesus into his heart. Praise Jesus!

It might be because the guitar is a spanish instrument, and if we folow the "faith" in this forum, all that comes from Spain or has some spanish influence is "pagan" since Spain is a "God-mockering" country.

People say that the guitar itself is neutral.

Isn't Austria the place where they keep their children locked up in cellars to keep them safe? I hope you consider a revisit to these god forsaken lands to try and help again Pastor, we must not give up on them and their conversion, to do so would be a dereliction of Gods duty, scruffy criminals or not.
