I just read a post on the web about a wiccan girl who disrupted a church service of yours. I have to tell you that I am appalled. I must also tell you that I have had an interest in wicca for many years. Please don't stop reading! This girl is not a proper wiccan!!! No one I have ever met in the wiccan community would ever 1. harm an animal, 2. disrupt some one else's sacred services and 3. wiccans DO NOT believe in "the devil." I feel bad for this girl. She is obviously very angry, confussed and trying to find a way to vent her pain, thereby putting it on others. Don't let her make you angry! Please try to remember, all any of us has to do, is live our lives on this earth the best we can, hopefully leave better than it was when we got here and teach our children how to live in peace and harmony.

Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Exodus 22:18

Now, as a follower of Gerald Gardner you may take the title "witch" and sacrifice, oh, some wormwood or mistletoe or poultry seasoning...but be aware that by doing so you are setting yourself contrary to the Lord.

And what for?

For a "religion" created in the 1940s by a crackpot Englishman. You see, Gerald Gardner did not restore any ancient pagan beliefs; he did not resurrect any historical religion.

It was all a scam.

It still is a scam. Before the 1900s there never was any coherent religion called Wicca, or any widespread worship of the so-called Horned God. Witches and magic were mostly the creation of hysterical churchmen; for the most part a few old women fiddled around with herbs like monkshood and angelica root, and got burned for their trouble. There never were widespread covens. There never was a "craft" or a body of dark lore: it was all created by Gerald Gardner and his cohorts in the late 1940s and the 1950s.

In Biblical days, of course, people saw the spirit of Satan enter into a soothsayer or worker of wonders -- that is the Biblical meaning of the term "witch". But if you choose to adopt the term yourself then you IS in deep trouble with the Lord, yea verily even today.

But I ramble.

My point is, don't be taken in by the convenient lies of "religious" hucksters, whether they're Wiccans or Scientologists or GODDAMNED Lutherans. Grow up smart instead.

Drewsilla, you shouldn't feel the need to apologize to these folk. Firstly, nothing you ever say will ever convince them that you aren't a 'devil worshipper'.
Second, I'm staking my odds that that so called wiccan was not in fact a wiccan, more likely an escaped mental patient or something like that.

Please try to remember, all any of us has to do, is live our lives on this earth the best we can, hopefully leave better than it was when we got here and teach our children how to live in peace and harmony.

The world is in for a thousand years of pretty rough times coming up soon, with the End Times and the Tribulation and the End of Days and Armageddon, but, I can assure you, after that, we Christians will return and help Jesus make it a better place than it has been since Eve's sin got Adam kicked out of Eden. So, if you want to teach your children how to live in peace and harmony, you have come to the right place.

What difference does that make? For most practical purposes, there's not a lot of difference between a demon worshipper and someone who is possessed by a demon.
