so whats the view of a true christian?

ive been viewing over the site and im confused what a true christian is supposed to be here :S theres damning of kinds of music, damning of kinds of people, especially black people, damning of women doing anything that isnt cooking and doing what daddy says to do, damning of queers, and a whole host of posts that are confusing contradicting and not really listening to the posters in question. Also someone damning motorcyclists which i didnt think seemed neccesary :S

but thats just the vibe im getting as a new member, i guess.

so what is a true christian? im just confused how you define yourselves and what you live by here. What music can you listen to, if any? Can you not ride a motorcycle? can you not do sport as women or dress as you would like? also from the goth thread i assume wearing anything black is out of the question.

Well, jeez. I can't speak for everyone here. This is a great church with a wide congregation and many walk more closely with the Lord than I.

But...

We believe that the King James Bible, 1611 edition, is the true Word of God.

We believe that Jesus said that the divine laws and commandments of the Old Testament would not pass away, not until Jesus returns to Earth to establish His Kingdom there.

And so if the Old Testament says that a man who lays with a man as with a woman is an abomination, then gays are indeed an abomination.

God's Law says that false prophets are under penalty of death.

God says that righteous music is a praise to Him.

Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. Psalm 33:2,3

Personally, I am inclined to view Slayer as neither righteous nor skillful music.


I dunno about the acceptability of motorcycles. I must have missed that discussion.

A man shall not dress as a woman, and vice versa. Crossdressing is an abomination to the Lord.

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 22:5

Our beliefs are in the Bible, or logically come from the Bible.

A true Christian follows what God commands, woman are supposed to be keepers of home and do what there godly husbands tell them to do. We are just trying to do what the bible tells us to whats the big deal?
