Easter Eggs are now "Spring Spheres."

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...=feeds-newsxml

Show most children an Easter egg and they'll refer to it as just that, regardless of their cultural background.

So when one teacher asked 16-year-old Jessica, who was volunteering at their elementary school in Seattle, to refer to the eggs as 'spring spheres' she was stunned.

The sophomore, who attends a private high school in the city, told KIRO Radio's Dori Monson, the incident happened at the end of a week-long community service project at the school...

Friends, I know we're supposed to back up every thread we start with a nice quote from the good old KJV 1611, but I am utterly at a loss for where to start. Maybe I should just Google the phrase, "What does the Bible say about blithering idiots?"

Easter eggs are pagan ritualistic sex symbols. The only good I have for them is they actually make pretty good stoning material for little brats looking for them.

Heathen garbage all the way around.

Your point is well taken, but I'm sure that in the minds of the secular humanists running the schools, this is an attempt to keep God out of the classroom, and not an attack on paganism, which is something they surely have no problem with.

I home school, so whatever the public schools want to do is fine by me.

If you want to go fight with them that they should allow Easter eggs because they're really pagan and not Christian, then go right ahead. Personally I couldn't be bothered to waste my time on such nonsense.

Santa isn't Christian either, but because of the connection with Christmas, they've banned Satan's fat jolly anagram as well.

She declined to give her full name and refused to name the school in question in the telephone interview.
A spokesman for the Seattle Schools District told MailOnline they had not been able to confirm the incident had happened.

'We have asked around about it but have not heard that it happened,' they said before adding: 'It's a big district. Usually when something like this happens we hear about it.'
We are looking at an article on the Daily Mail, a UK news paper that has a less then reliable history in cases like this.

She should have responded, "As soon as you show me an egg that is a sphere, I'll be happy to call it a 'spring sphere', you imbecilic twit!"
