    What is a FUNDIE? (or fundy, fandy etc)

    Hello friends

    I have ask you a question cos like you know I'm do a english course for a important exam in may that could to help my job posibilities in a future (I got laid out in my last job recentally so I am looking for a new position in some other job and I hope this exam help me) so anyway my teacher is a american from New Hamshire and when I was talk a liitle about myselve he ask if I was a 'fundy' (or 'fandie' or fundie?? No sure the spell) and when I explain a liitle about my hopping for bauptism he just estopped and change the suject.

    So it was end of class and I wasn't sure of this so I think I aks you. I'm no wanna feel estupid next time in class.

    Can someobody say me what means 'fundy' - and is bad or embarrass thing?

      I am pretty sure he meant fundamentalist Christian. Generally it references a specific branch of Christianity. Rarely have I heard of Fundy Baptists though.

      Fundy Pentecostals, Lutherans, etc. Sure But not good old fashioned Baptists. They are Baptists. No way to confuse them.

                  So a "fundie" as in Fundamental Christian is someone who adhere's to the literal Bible, as in a True Christian(TM). Personally, I'm proud to be a "fundie". Someone calls me a fundie and I respond with a "you betcha!"

                  It's only the liebrals and their propaganda machine that have tried to turn it into a swear word.
