1.Firstl and foremost: The King James Version(1611) of the Word of God: Genesis1.1
The Holy Book passed down through the ages is simply, and incontestably, the irrefutable word of God. Not only is it the Sacred Word of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ but, not so co-incidently, it is the best selling book of all time!
2.If for some bizarre reason they question the authenticity of the Holy Word I use their own "scientific" logic against them, thusly:
So, atheists, if the Bible is a fake book written by lying psychotics, then why is it the most popular book of all time? Are you saying that the majority of people in the world are delusional psychotics but that you are one of the few people who has his head screwed on straight and has it all figured out? I doubt that. Why does Jesus continue to be the most widely reveled person in the history of mankind? Why would a total lie concocted by schizophrenic psychotics have been taken so seriously - to the point of temporary death? I certainly wouldn't have died back in the time of Jesus for what I knew to be a lie, but all of Jesus' disciples died for what they knew to be truth because they were first-hand witnesses to what He said and did, and so the story lives on forever. People gravitate towards the truth....not towards a lie which is why there are very few God-hating atheists in the world. It's called natural selection in your evolutionary world. If atheism was a belief system that resulted in a mentally stronger and superior human being, then why hasn't that gene pool propagated and taken over the world over the zillions of years you claim we have been evolving? Kind of makes you wonder if your whole system of beliefs just doesn't work and is not for the betterment of mankind. People who believe in God are happier, more content, can make it through very tough situations which seem impossible. Atheists have no hope in anything. They are void, lonely and searching for something, but they don't know what it is. The great eternal mass? The evidence suggests that atheists are not the fittest and don't have*superior genes and are not poised to take over the world! I mean these guys don't like having kids, so I rest my case! They wont ever prevail unless they start having tons of kids, but these guys wont*because the atheist gene does not like having kids - natural selection once again at work. Their own system of beliefs is working against these guys! It's intuitively obvious to the most casual observer!
3.Now that they are back on their heels I usually finish them off with this:
If there is no God, then why would the universe be finite and not infinite? Who or what made it finite? Why is it finite? Just exactly how much mass has always been? There are only two possible solutions to this problem. First, everything is infinite and has always been (which means that everything would be infinite which we know is not the case because of scientific observations), or an infinite God created a finite universe that he created at a specific point in time. Nothing else works. There are no other solutions to this problem. It's only common sense . If you can think of something else that even remotely makes any sense, I would love to hear it, but you can't because all you can propose is "I don't know, and I don't care". But I care because it's the most important question that has ever been asked.
Yup, There is something operating outside of this observable universe that does not conform to the laws of this poor little finite universe that you and I are incapable of comprehending, and His name is God. Nothing else works!
(Usually after this display of stunning logic they are left with a smoking stump where their head used to be.)
