    The Bible

What if, hypothetically speaking, the bible was only there to test your faith? And god was really testing you on how well you better your community or your contribution to understanding the reasons of the universe. Thus God's intention is for man's society to advance.

That would be an ironic outcome. Almost all atheists would ascend to heaven, while radical christians would almost all be sent to hell.
I would like you to meet my imaginary friend, God.

    Re: The Bible

It would ironic in the extreme.

Unfortunately, that would mean spending eternity with a God who you can't trust for sour owl sh*t. I can just imagine it: You're strolling along a pleasant sidewalk in Heaven and who should you run into but God!

    "Hi, there, LingBling!"

"Hey, God, big fella! How's it hanging?"

"Pretty sweet, man. Say -- look at that! A flying sperm whale!"

And then when you turn your head to look -- SMACK! -- God slaps you a good one right on the back of the head. And He starts laughing. "HAW! HAW! HAW!"

You're having a heavenly latte in a little kiosk on the corner of Manna Street and Burning Bush Avenue. Jesus saunters up.

"Hey, LingBling, long time no see. Say, watch what I can do with My halo!"

So you watch Jesus doing tricks with His halo, and then when you go to take a drink of your latte you find out that He put a big fat cherub turd in it.

    "HAW! HAW! HAW!"

You go to a divine little club and hit it off with a pretty angel. You take her home, and the heavens are about to move when you see a huge Eye peeking in the window, and you hear God's voice: "I can seeeeeeeee you!"

    "HAW! HAW! HAW!"

No, it would be hell to be in Heaven with an omnipotent God that you can't trust. God would never write a Book that His children could not trust, just as He would never make a Creation filled with falsity and misleading evidence.

Blasphemous! You hypothetically speak the words of the devil. There is no chance EVER that the Bible is out there to test our faith! The holey book was written by God Himself. The Bible says so and who are you to question God's word even hypothetically! You may have some esplaining to do at the Pearly Gates just for thinking that one...hypothetically...
