If you are a Christian you have probably seen Passion of the Christ, one of the best and most Godly movies ever made(and if you dont think so, then are are probably an atheist or a heathen), anyway, that movie is spoken in Aramaic language, which is Jesus language, with American subtitles, usually subtitles are annoying and distracting, but somehow i feel that in Passion of the Christ they arent annoying at all, might this be because this actually is Jesus own language?
I am also thinking about the simularities between Aramaic and American, i mean its only missing some letters, lets see here:
A R A M A I C
lets shuffle those letters around and remove one A, it becomes:
A M R I C A
Now we only need to add an E and an N, and it becomes:
A M E R I C A N
You see, American is just a modern day Aramaic, and thats likely the reason why it isnt annoying to watch Passion of the Christ with subtitles!
You noticed that it was boring and annoying to watch Apocalypto in Mayan language with subtitles, but not annoying to watch Passion of the Christ in Aramaic with subtitles? This has to be the reason why!
