I heard the following story on the radio today...
Justices Weigh IVF Technology Against 1939 Law
...regarding whether a woman impregnated by her dead soldier husband's sperm can legally claim survivor benefits for the children who result.
Now, obviously, there is some concern here, as I could easily imagine women of low character crapping out endless babies just to get those enhanced monthly checks.
However, what about a situation where the soldier in question and his wife are both good Christians? I support the QuiverFull movement, and in these days when Catholics, Muslims, and Mexicans are so aggressively trying to out-breed us, I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's absolutely crucial for Christians to produce as many offspring as humanly possible.
Naturally, the process of collecting sperm before a soldier goes off to battle is something that presents some cause for concern, as we're all well aware of the Bible's many admonishments against sexual fantasies.
However, if the man in question refrains from thinking dirty thoughts during the process, I think it might be OK.
Naturally, there's also the matter of the spilling of seed being expressly prohibited:
However, if the seed is being collected so a man's wife can bear additional warriors for Christ after he has died, then it's not exactly being "spilled" in the sense that Genesis means it, and it's surely not being given to the dead man's dead brother.
Therefore, I see no conflict between this verse and the sperm harvesting process.
The bottom line, gentlemen, is that you have a responsibility to impregnate your wives as many times as their wombs can bear. Now, thanks to the miracles of modern medicine, death is no-longer an excuse to shirk your duties.

Shout GLORY!

(Of course, if you've only been saved for a short time, and don't feel strong to refrain from having disgusting sex fantasies while yielding up your seed, I'm sure there are other, less morally hazardous ways of getting those little wrigglers out of your body.)

And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.
