Re: Stop!
Pastor Ezekiel, the term is "women's studies," though that is not my field. And 1 Timothy reflects a temporary prohibition on women preaching made necessary by a slide of the local church towards gnosticism. It's quite clear in the originial language. Turning it into a permanent and global proposition is absurd.
Anyway, isn't it the case that you shall know me by my fruits? Isn't what matters whether I can help you find your way back to Christ?

If you mean that this forum, more than any others, is rooted in Christian teaching, I have to respectfully disagree. That may be your intention, and it can be your future, but it is not the present reality.

I'll bet you dollars to donuts that she's a feminazi "professor" of feminaziism at some liebral college somewhere.
1 Timothy 2:11-15
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.

Stop!
To whomever is running this abominable site:
Stop.
Several of my students told me about this terribly un-Christian "Christian" site. Frankly, I thought they were probably overreacting. As an academic, I realize there has to be room for many strands of Christian thought, Biblical as well as critical.
But having spent a few hours reading your discussions, this site is a horror. There's no true Christian love here. You use the Word of God like a brick to smack each other around with. You're "loving" the Bible literally to death.
Stop. Take Easter weekend off. Think about what made you turn to Christ in the first place. Wasn't it love rather than hate? Is this site really an outgrowth of that love?
As a Christian, a woman of the 21st century, and a professor, I couldn't let this go by without comment. This site is spiritually dead. With Christ, we are all promised new life. Roll away the boulder, Landover.
