Let's Join in Celebration, A 200 Foot Cross in Branson, MO

I learned today of an antidote to the terrible war on religion in this country. No matter where we turn, crosses, Ten Commandments and other of God's messages to us are being destroyed.

Finally, the tide is turning in our favor. The State of Missouri has approved a cross, 200 feet high, in the our nation's Christian Country Music Capital, Branson. The cross will feature elevators taking people up in the cross and closer to God.

My prediction is this will become both the major tourist destination in the U. S. and a beacon of God's healing power over this entire nation.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Glory! Take that atheists! Now, any unsaved scum in Branson will be constantly reminded that our sweet Lord temporarily gave His life (for three whole days!) to save their wretched, worthless souls.

Let's see how easy it is for those ungrateful bastards to reject Jesus with a giant reminder constantly looming over them!

Re: Let's Join in Celebration, A 200 Foot Cross in Branson, MO

Before moving to Iowa, my family and I would make regular pilgrimages to Groom, Texas to grovel at the foot of the 190-foot cross off of I-40.

At the base, there are smaller monuments depicting the stages of the cross, and a stirring tribute to the victims of abortion.

But this is great news about Branson! My family LOVES our annual trips to Branson. I can wait for us all to gather around the foot of this gigantic cross and weep tears of joy at the Salvation afforded us by Jesus' temporary sacrifice.
      II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Branson is home to many exciting and delightful tourist attractions.

One way to monetize this attraction might be to attach a giant slingshot ride to the cross and call it a "Rapture Simulator."

        We're coming, JESUS!

Or maybe the cross should have a massive water pump snaking up the inside of it and extending out to either arm, which pumps out tens of thousands of gallons of red-colored water that falls back to a pool at the foot of the cross, where tourists can bask in the glorious red blood of CHRIST, elating in the monumental day of pain and discomfort JESUS graciously endured for our sins, before returning to immortality in paradise.

Like Splash Mountain, except you get drenched in salvific Jesus Blood! I like this idea. It would fit in perfectly in Branson.

The Catlicks are always looking for an excuse to have communion. I hope they don't start doing in the elevators.

I love the blood red waterfall idea! God must be guiding us Himself, since I agree.

We could wash in the blood of the Lamb in Branson, MO.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

The fact that two or three of us agree on this matter confirms that this notion is Godly.

This seems like a wonderful idea, but I found something troubling in that article:

Kerry Brown, the executive director of Images at the Cross, the organization responsible for the project, explains to Fox News:

“I know St. Louis has the Gateway Arch and San Francisco has the Golden Gate Bridge, and those are all fantastic monuments, but they’re all secular monuments," he said. "This will be the first monument to the spirit of man and there’s a reason why it’s being built in the heartland of the nation. It’s absolutely in the right place at the right time and it’s going to have ten times the spirituality as any one of those monuments.”

Um, excuse me? The spirit of man? The worthless, sinful spirit of man, which causes him to rebel against the Lord and lie and steal and masturbate all day long? That spirit?

Haven't the secular humanists, pagans, and New Agers already erected enough monuments to the spirit of man?

If this Kerry Brown fellow is so unclear as to this project's purpose, maybe somebody who's not a stealth humanist should be put in charge of it!

Somebody like Mayor Johnny Joe Hold, for example.

That's shocking! I was ready to advocate Olympic sized baptism pools at the base, but now I'm not so sure.
                    Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
