Well, well, well. It seems apparent through the many threads and opinions of people on this website that Christianity is no more than hypocrisy. How can a religion devoted to a god who preaches love for everyone be full of such fundamentalist, psychotic, inbred, uneducated lowlives?

Posting as a Canadian African-American, I received numerous racial slurs including 'boy', 'nigra', 'negro', 'darkie', 'pie-stealer', and 'shoe-shiner' (the list goes on but I can not find it in my conscious to repeat such horrific and demeaning terms). My opinion seems to have been largely ignored due to the fact that you thought I was an African-American. In fact, I am a Caucasian male from Canada (the true 'land of the free').

Although you swear by Christianity as the one and only true religion, look again at its origins. This "religion" started merely as a cult taking its traditions from other cults of the time. These traditions include the Virgin Mary (a blatant rip-off of the goddess Isis), Jesus being resurrected (a rip-off of the son of Isis being resurrected), and Christmas, which didn't fall on Jesus' birthday (March 23), was placed on December 25th as it was a day of celebration of Mithrites. The Christians decided to use this day in order for their religion to gain popularity.

You may now be questioning my religious stance. I will not follow a religion that condones the molestation of children by its own priests, that supports this fundamentalist racism and bigotry, that hosts television evangelists who claim to speak for God but are really pushing their own agendas to gain monetary compensation, and that condemns any other fellow human being for simply being 'different'. If you, for one second, believe anyone on Earth is lesser than you are, whether it be for worshipping another God, having a different skin colour, or simply making less money than you do, than you are fundamentally flawed and are the reason behind the turmoil the world is being put through to this very day.

There are exceptions among you that have shown some semblance of class and respect for humans in general. I must reiterate as well that I do not necessarily despise the Christian religion but the flaws of it are blatantly obvious to me. tLakota and Ezekiel Bathfire have shown that even among extremists, there is still hope for a world in which the respect of ALL others will be a universal law.

Mock if you must, which I imagine you will, but know that it is a futile effort as any ignorant comments simply prove my point. My reason for coming to this website was not to create havoc, but was to fully experience how truly evil man can be.

Well, that just about wraps it up for me. I'm giving it a 99% chance that I won't be posting here any longer as instead of giving a decent argument, the moderators of this website will most likely ban me. I'm sure this post will have very little effect on them as they seem to be thoroughly stuck in their ways. Thank you for opening your reply with an uncalled for insult. After many years on the planet, I have little reason to believe that God simply Is. The term African-American refers to all people having ancestry in both Africa and the Americas, be it USA or Canada.

I suggest you look up the etymology of the term "African-American". It specifically references those in the United States. Per Wikipedia:

African Americans or Black Americans are citizens or residents of the United States who have origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.[5]

That is your opinion. You cannot prove who did or did not write the Bible. However, I can logically prove that God DID, or at least has control over its contents:

• God is omniscient and omnipotent. He knows all and is all-powerful. (Redundant, but I wanted to be sure you understood the big words.) One would expect such things of a Being capable of creating an entire Universe!
• The Bible says it is God's Word.
• God knows that the Bible says it is His Word, because He is omniscient. If He wanted it to say something different, He could easily change it because He is omnipotent.
• The Bible says what it says. Therefore, it is how God wants us to understand Him.
