how does a person get Saved and get to Heaven? a friend told me i had to ask Jesus Christ into my heart as my savior is this true?

thanks for being so kind. i have a Bible (kjv, i guess that matters) i read it, but i really don't know what to read. i have read the book of Matthew. and i have read here and there. i am not quite a nurse yet, i have one more semster to go, but they told us if we made it this far we are more than likely going to make it. i am 22 years old, i am a volunteer firefighter. Friend, reading the Bible should be done from cover to cover. You start at the beginning which is also .... taadaaa ... the beginning. In other words: Genesis. Where HE created stuff.

I have one. Explain to me why you believe the Bible is correct, for saying that God created the earth in one week. Have you ever asked yourself, if God was omnipotent why did it take an entire week for God to create the universe.
