Tithing question

10% is a Godly amount (more is even more Godly). But how do I determine 10%. Yes I know it's .1 times the amount. BUT, the amount is the mystery. Is it pre-tax? Taxable income? All my assets? Disposable income? One of my ten thoroughbreds? Interest income only? Rent from pagan trailer trash? Long-term capital gains? Garage sale proceeds? I hope this isn't as confusing as the tax code.

12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

So, let's say you don't want to be associated with the wicked friend, and robbing God is a sure way to be called wicked.

It definitely sounds like ALL is the obvious answer. Makes it simple too. Kind of like McCain's Godly flat tax.

Friend, there are no deductions in Heaven. Jesus wants 10% of your gross income. That's assuming you have money.

If you're broke, He wants you to give every cent you have.

Indeed. And don't worry about how you'll get by, since that's what the Jesus-haters do:

Matt. 6:31-32: Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
