It seems that some false teaching is perpetuated by several posters on this board, namely that God hates sinners.
This teaching is NOT Biblical. Any person who has taken time to read and understand the Word of God knows that its greatest theme is love. We are told that God is love and this is evidenced by the fact that Christ died for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:6-8). This rich young man in Mark 10 was 'loved' by Jesus, even though he was clearly lost, and that wonderful verse, John 3:16, means that each and every one of you can be confident that God loves the WHOLE WORLD.
So what of the verse that I have seen quoted here, all too often, by those who think of God as some kind of vengeful, hateful monster in the sky, waiting to strike us down? The verse in question in Psalm 5:5 which says that God hates "all workers of iniquity". This verse needs to be read carefully in context. You need to remember that the book of Psalms is a collection of memoirs - the psalmists are expressing their own feelings - NOT doctrinal truths. Certainly nowhere in the New Testament does it say that God hates sinners. If it did, this would flatly contradict John 3:16. And I assume you guys would consider the Word of God as inerrant?

Yet another touchy-feely "Christian" comes here to skip & giggle all through the Bible and our Godly Board.
