Well, of course you do: that is how the power-lusting "priests" of the most debauched, world-dwelling religion on Earth -- the Catholic church -- got and seeks to maintain power: they style themselves the keepers of "tradition", hence the keepers of salvation.

To put your thesis in plain English, what your church teaches is that the Bible and God are useless unless people kiss the ass of the Catholic priests. Salvation is not of Jesus, according to your faith; salvation is of the Church power-mongers.

God saves and damns -- except in Catholicism, where the church hierarchy and not Jesus deals out forgiveness and excommunications.
