They will twist the Bible to the breaking point and beyond, whatever they need to do to chastise those with whom they disagree. I've got some verses from the Bible, too. Maybe the good folks of Landover Baptist Church can explain how they follow these verses while they go around judging everyone else:

Nope, I could easily come up with my own reply, I was just showing this to my freind for a laugh. Ok, since I am tired, I'm going to quote an argument I had with another friend of mine

This is the one I want to point out and tear up the most here. God is quite able, but is waiting for the right day, in which point after all the prophecies from before Christ have been fufilled, and until his wrath is satisfied (or, full!). Isreal sold the Gaza Strip for peace. The peace is false, but they definitely did so. How could he have known that, without true genuine knowledge given from God?

Look at Mayan, Aztec, Incan, and other ancient civilizations. They all predicted things that eventually came true.

And yes, it does look like it has been their for that long. Rocks have been Carbon-Dated to be that old.

Why should God wait for the right day? Should not he follow the old saying 'Carpe Diem' ? " Seize the day" ? " Why put off till tomorrow what you can do today"? Why makes today anymore the 'wrong' day then tomorrow? The longer he waits, the longer 'his people'' will suffer. Why would a benevolent god allow his people to suffer? Also, If god is Omni-powerful,Omni-present, and what-not, why could he not destroy Lucifer? Why is there evil if he is Omni-Present? There should not be room for evil to manifest if he is truly all of those things.

And that's what I have to say. Obviously the God-disproving argument is mine.

The Bible tells us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves:

The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:29-31

I don't apply a double standard, but part of the love I feel for myself is the desire not to sin. If I were to sin through homosex, you would be fully justified in chastising me, just as I chastise the homos. And please note that love for the LORD comes first.

If I'm right, you guys say you follow ALL aspects of the Bible, correct? Well then, you should respect any and all of your neighbors, even those dirty little Catholics.

This is a trick question, because gay couples cannot be married. Marriage is a sacrament of God, and He would never bless such a union. But yes, I would love them enough to tell them that they should find Christ, just as I did, and obey His commandments, just as I do.

I'll give you a 7 for originality, but a 1 for maturity.

Honestly, browsing these forums, I find it hard to believe this is real. I can understand the fact that you want to discuss ((and insult and bash)) other religions, but the maturity level is just so....low that I have a hard time believing there are few people above the age of 21 here.

The bible is only what you interpret it to be. Everyone sees it differently. And yet I find that it coincides a lot with close-minded, white-supremacists ideas. Hitler is also someone this seems to coincide with. Coincidence? I think not.

Who are you to judge other people? God is, and forever shall be, the ONLY person who has the right to judge someone. It is not your right, nor your place to say someone is worse then you, or is damned to hell. You are not God. You do not know what He thinks. You do not know what He wants.(( Well, not in precise terms.)) All you should be doing is worshiping Him, and praying that others find Him as you have, so that they too may know the love of Him. No one person is worse then the other, regardless of age, gender, nationality, or country.

Indeed, I see that you people dislike African Americans, yet I knew one EXACTLY like you people. Heck, she might have been even more so extreme then you. Yeah, It might be possible.

Seems I forgot to add 'Spread the word of Him' To my paragraph ranting about how you should not judge people. Carry on then.

Also, God isn't Republican or Democrat. He's like George Washington; Wanting nothing more then Peace and Unity.

For anyone not well-versed in history, Washington had no Political Party, he considered them worthless and time-consuming, and believed they would tear apart our country. And they are well on their way. All Washington wanted was the continual Peace and Brotherhood of the original 13 states to remain forever. I believe that God is also like this; Wanting nothing more then for His children to stay peaceful, and worship Him as they should.

Slander? SLANDER? Honestly, where did you learn history?

George Washington was a good, Honest military general who almost single-handedly beat the British, and founded our nation. He is the single most Honest, Trustworty, Brave, Intelligent person in all of American...No, all of WORLD history. I know not one more person more widely respected by ALL peoples then him.

He had no political party. That is fact. He worked to keep our nation, the best there is, together. He did everything he could to stop us from fighting amongst ourselves and helped us work together for the common good.

I covered all of that, because you gave me no mention of WHAT was slander. I have never been so angry over a comment as that.

And I do believe Washington was the same God-worshiping Christian as most people.
