    What's On Today

This is a little peice I did about the LIE-beral media.

    Listen folks, all gather round
    For we shall never deceive
We preach for you every day
    With stories you can believe
Death and bullshit is what we sell
And you eat it up, every bite
We are there no matter what time
To embellish and to start a fight
We come to your home invited or not
We tell you what you should think
Say one word against our truth
We’ll destroy you before you can blink
For us nothing’s sacred, truth not required
We’ll make it true before your very eyes
Not a care is given for who we destroy
We must make sure our way never dies
We’ll feed you this steaming load of crap
And perform this service for free
We know you’ll love the mess we create
    Tonight on local channel three

      A wee bit flabby

(next critic, add a couplet line?)

Rev! Thanks for your fine poem!
      The content raises discontent,
and that is good because "dem" lieberals "am" bad.

        Justified or centered
        sentences or splintered
        A sonnet is fine
        but a ballad saves time
        And your message
        is TV's visage
Jesus - gentle, dependable overnight relief.

          Glendora,
Thank you, but a sonnet???? I've done a few in my time. Structured poetry if a hard one to do.... I have done a few in the past, but they're not appropiate for God's favorite forum. If you wish, I could send a few to your husband.

Acrostic, English sonnet, triolet, and a few other types. The hardest was the villanelle.
