That's a nice first effort, young lady. The meter is right, but it doesn't really rhyme.

There are many who yearn.

Yet few who learn-

Few who learn the art,

The art of making verse to touch the heart.

Poor, badly made, man is forced to endure

Writings deserving naught but censure.

Hmm, I found that to be a very pedestrian piece of work. Not very creative, no good use of language, imagery, or pathos. You could maybe find work for a second-rate greeting card company with poems like that, and even then I'm not sure.

I sang this tribute last time I performed at Ol' Smokeys.

Oh Jesus!
Your always there for me.
If heathens don't know why.
Its as simple as 1,2....JESUS!

I walk with my True Friend Jesus,
when its cold and it awfully breezes.

I'm healed by my Dr. Jesus,
so that my muscles eases.

I pray to to my Savior Jesus,
whenever my PC freezes.

I rebuke with the Sword of Jesus,
When the atheist laughs and teases.

I wash my hands through Jesus,
if the old joo's big nose sneezes.

I laugh along with Jesus,
when He gives the chinks diseases.

I spite by the Word of Jesus,
if a homer grabs and squeezes.

I'll phone 9-1-JESUS,
when the nigra breaks in and seizes (all the leftover watermelon and chicken in the fridge).

Oh it's never overpriced,
to tithe to JESUS CHRIST!
