Only 7 US States ban atheists from public office!

There are only seven states in the US that forbid filthy Godless atheists from holding public office. This is WRONG. Seven is not enough!

How can we trust anyone who can't make up his mind? "Science" is always changing its mind on everything. God and the King James Bible never change! Think about that, good Brothers and Sister!

Apologies, I meant to include Colossians 2:8 in my OP:

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
    Colossians 2:8
    And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

Re: Only 7 US States ban atheists from public office!

Indeed, the sorry Spiritual State of the States must cause constant agony to Sweetest Jesus! The total and disastrous inability of our leaders and most of the nation to do constant Bible Study has made the people blind to even the most basic Truths™ of the Bible.

      Psalms 53:1
(To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David.) The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

This could not be more simple. An atheist is incapable of doing good. If we have an atheist in public office, he does what he can but regardless of his efforts the results are always evil.

I would not be surprised if the States holding on to Dear Jesus would be also the ones with the strongest support for The Donald. In only a few months we'll undoubtedly see how the following Articles will be implemented nationwide!

      Arkansas, Article 19, Section 1:
No person who denies the being of a God shall hold any office in the civil departments of this State, nor be competent to testify as a witness in any Court.

      Maryland, Article 37:
That no religious test ought ever to be required as a qualification for any office of profit or trust in this State, other than a declaration of belief in the existence of God; nor shall the Legislature prescribe any other oath of office than the oath prescribed by this Constitution.

      Mississippi, Article 14, Section 265:
No person who denies the existence of a Supreme Being shall hold any office in this state.

North Carolina, Article 6, Section 8
The following persons shall be disqualified for office: Any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God.

South Carolina, Article 17, Section 4:
No person who denies the existence of a Supreme Being shall hold any office under this Constitution.

      Tennessee, Article 9, Section 2:
No person who denies the being of God, or a future state of rewards and punishments, shall hold any office in the civil department of this state.

      Texas, Article 1, Section 4:
No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office, or public trust, in this State; nor shall any one be excluded from holding office on account of his religious sentiments, provided he acknowledge the existence of a Supreme Being.

      Yours in Christ,

      Elmer

This point is ever so important, and should be repeated often and loudly, preferably with firearms at our sides. Jesus alone rewards appropriate behaviors and punishes inappropriate ones. If He is locked out of our hearts, nothing but chaos would be left. Sin nature would overcome all mankind. Transgenders make some .3% of the population, but that would change to 96% of the population in five years alone if there was no morality in laws. Then where would the few True Christians™ left find relief when nature calls in a public facility? These thoughts frighten me and I cannot sleep at night. This is why we need a register for atheists like we have for sex offenders.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Should be banned from holding public office in all 50 states not just 7. 43 states are under a curse from God for not banning Atheists from office.

Thank you for posting these articles:

                    Arkansas, Article 19, Section 1:
No person who denies the being of a God shall hold any office in the civil departments of this State, nor be competent to testify as a witness in any Court.

                    __________________________________________________ ___________

Reading them, I felt a real sadness. So little meat to them. An acknowledgment of the existence of a Supreme Being? Seriously? Why the heathens believe in the existence of a Supreme Being! They just happen to be wrong because their gods don't exist.

And as, I pointed out on another thread, even Satan and his sub-demons acknowledge the existence of God. They spend their soul-less lives trying to foil Him. What kind of an idiot spends all of his time trying to defeat an enemy that he doesn't believe exists? Is that crazy or what? But not as crazy as letting Satan hold public office, which could happen under those laws. They need to propose laws requiring people to prove they are not Satan before they can serve in public offices. Then, I will not feel sad at all. I will rejoice with great merriment on that day.

                    Joyfully Yours,

I believe that anyone who is a citizen should be allowed to run for office, we should not say you can't lead because you don't believe in a supreme being. The very idea of that is unjust and wrong.

No one should ever be barred from office because of their (lack of) religious beliefs, unless those beliefs are bigoted or oppressive. But I don't see a major problem here. For one thing, the laws are rarely if ever enforced. There are plenty on the books that actively harm people and devastate communities, like our draconian drug laws, and these are what we must work to dismantle. Also, organized atheism is overwhelmingly white and male, and tends to be hostile and othering to POC, women, and queer folk. So this is basically white men squabbling with each other (i.e. having a dick-jousting contest) over something that barely even affects them. You'll have to pardon my disinterest.

What we really need (critically, and right now) are more Muslims in public office.

That cannot be true. White males are smart enough to know that God Himself affords them the highest place at the table. Atheists are losers with no place or personal power and that's why they resent God so much, because they know that He doesn't like them.

Hello again, Mr. Osterman. I have to ask: who decides which beliefs are bigoted or oppressive? Because if we take cultural relativism to the moral relativism extreme, an outsider has no right to call other people's beliefs bigoted or oppressive, and it is very unlikely that a person would call their own beliefs bigoted or oppressive.

I look forward to hearing your perspective. I do struggle with this issue at this moment while I am conducting an anthropological study of this lovely community.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
