Rev. Dr. Davidson has brought up an important question: Why do so many Americans hate America so much that they have to dilute being American with some hypenated appelation?

African-American
Atheist-American
Asian-American
Baby-Eating-Wicker-American
and the like?

It's all very confusing. I knew an American who was born in Jamaica, who was dark as night. She was horrifically offended if some liebral white person called her "African-American", since she'd never set foot in Africa, and she considered herself simply American.

What's the deal with this? Can anyone explain it? Is being American simply not good enough for these hyphenated people?

It's because the racist liberals want to keep the nigras, wetbacks, etc... dependent on their social programs rather than have them help themselves.

Calling a black person an African-American is what is right in society. Go up to an African-American and call them a negro. See what happens.

Obviously, you are so separated from the real world that you do not know what is right in a 21st century society.

So true... I asked many questions about this subject on the national demoncratic forums. They agreed, as usual, then said absolutely nothing. I wanted to know why my tax dollars went to pay for illegals and other 'social' programs, when it should be used for the education and defense of Americans.

African-American is an expression used only in the US.
The problem is that all black people are called African-Americans, whether they originate from Africa or not.
