  • Senator Ted Cruz Directed Texas Flood Relief From Greece

It is disgusting to see Democrats criticizing Christian Ted Cruz for being on vacation in Greece when a flood killed 100 or so people in his state of Texas. Ted and his preacher father are Christians of the first order. Ted no doubt was receiving updates in Greece and was praying for the safety of those still alive in Texas as well as for the souls of those who were drowned. He even talked by phone with Texas Governor and Christian Gregg Abbott. Praying there in Greece was a powerful act and the public should appreciate a public servant so devoted to the safety of his constituents.

The world doesn't stop just because a few people die. There are deals to be made on golf courses and affairs of State to attend to. Ruling over little people who can't take care of themselves is tiresome and Ted needs his Executive Time. Sorry Texas, business is closed.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

How many people in the United States die every day? Thousands? For events like 9/11 where thousands of young people die at once that's one thing, but imagine if everything was put on hold everytime just a few people died. We have mass shooting almost everyday in America. Nothing would ever get done. He has to be able to take a vacation sometime.
Close minded people are just right people who don't want to spend time arguing.

God heard his prayers in Greece or wherever he was. It's no different than if he was in Texas praying.

Next the libs will be demanding President Trump do something. These people really are ridiculous! Why can't they pull themselves out of the water by theiir bootstraps and stop begging Leadership to save them all the time. It's a ridiculous notion.

How does prayer "work" on the "souls" of the dead? Can they be saved?

Can I be saved when I'm dead (if Cruz prays for me) but mock Christ in the here and now?

Unlike you, Mr. Fag, whose life is one constant party of faggerama, Senator Cruz plans to spend his eternity with those who died in a Christian Bible camp. He is praying for their safe arrival in their heavenly home where he, also, will be rewarded for his Christian work in Greece.

Honestly, people are being so unfair about this. They act like Greece is just some vacation spot, ignoring how important it is for serious reflection and prayer.

I mean, think about it. Greece has thousands of years of history. Monasteries on cliffs. Quiet chapels by the sea. If you want to pray for Texans, why wouldn’t you choose a place like that? The acoustics alone probably carry prayers faster. He was surely visiting important spiritual sites, reading up on early Christian philosophy, and taking quiet moments to intercede for flood victims between checking in with the Governor.

Honestly, if more of our leaders took the time to visit Greece during crises, they might come back calmer, wiser, and more spiritually refreshed. That is the kind of devotion I want in a senator.

People should really try to see the big picture here.

Wait, when did LBC embraced Ecumenism with the Greek Orthodox Church? Am I missing something?

Oh settle down now, nobody’s embracing anything except maybe a free hotel continental breakfast.

Nobody is saying the Greek Orthodox Church is getting a stamp of approval. Incense, chanting, sixteen-foot beards. Gross, hard pass.

It is just that if someone is going to skip town during a flood, Greece has the right aesthetic for dramatic, performative praying. Paul preached there. John sent letters there. Plenty of biblical ambiance to make it look spiritual while you’re checking in with the Governor over WhatsApp.

No ecumenism required. Just solid choice of scenery for a “thinking of you” prayer session with a sea view. Maybe try cracking the New Testament sometime before throwing the heresy flag .

I'm with Mr. Morgan here. No one is saying Sen. Cruz has a sixteen foot beard and a hat so high he has to avoid underpasses. Greek orthodoxy is for Halloween. He just prefers not to spend Texas summers with his sweaty voters. And remember, a Republican in Texas has to drop into greasy 99-cent taco places and pretend he is glad to be there.

Yes, indeed, dear Brother Mayor Hold. It should come as no surprise that a Cathyolick heretic such as Mr. Rovagnati would find fault with a good man of , such as Senator Ted Cruz. Why, it was the very same when a piddly, little winter storm went through Texas, and the Senator sought warmth and refuge in Mexico. In this day and age of interwebs connections everywhere (including backwards nations such as Mexico), Senator Cruz was doing all of his required Senatorial work from there. If he had stayed in Texas, then he may have been in danger from the storm, and then what good would he have been?

Oh, it just makes my blood boil so, whenever people seek to smear the good name of an honest, hard-working man. And, then they give added insult with the unmitigated gall to suggest that Senator Cruz is similar to a con artist — such as Mr. Haney!
