        Stalin was never Catholic...He was a Russian Orthodox, and had even gone to the seminary to study for that church's priesthood...But in the middle of that, he abandoned the faith to adopt his Communist ideology.

        In 1953, on a talk Bishop Fulton Sheen was giving on his show Life Is Worth Living, he gave a dramatic reading of the burial scene from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, with the prominent Soviet leaders' names substituted for the Roman empire leaders' ones. Then came the pronouncement, "Stalin must one day meet his judgement." Less than a week later, Stalin was dead.
