Nonsense. The Romans said "to be free, we are all slave to the law". Well there is only one source of the law; God. Therefore we must all be His slaves to be free people.
It is really quite simple when you think about it.
Thank you for quoting the Romans when this is still the USA. And not to mention kudos for pulling off the idea that your God is the only source of law. However, since the Roman quote does not apply to the USA your statement is flawed and inaccurate.
It's really quite silly when you think about it.

"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death." ~Albert Einstein
I agree with putting "In God We Trust" back into schools. But first, we need to remove all books except the 1611 KJV Bible! Also, teachers need to be screened for homosexuality.
Investment Portfolio = Canned Goods, Automatic Weapons and a KJV1611 Bible!

I was going to say that they should be screened for liberalism as well, but on second thoughts, just screening them for gayness should also be enough to root out the pinkos.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
THIS upstanding Republican God fearing Man has made a wonderful suggestion; He wants all of the secular schools in Utah to have "In God We Trust" posted in every classroom. While we in Freehold have been following this simple rule since 1935, we applaud Brother Oak's Godly idea.
So the God hating joo demoncrat finds it "heartbreaking" to introduce the love of Jesus to sweet innocent children? I suppose its perfectly acceptable to have them be roasted alive in scalding hot sulfur for all eternity because they knew not Christ?
accutally.. isn't it said that those children are innocent in the eyes of the lord? They are innocent until they turn into a man- which, in most cultures, was considered around age 13. According to law, it is 18, but that doesn't mean anything. Oh, and btw, i am opposed to this also. If they get that, why can't other religions have something like " In the gods and goddesses we trust?" It IS a free country, and you cannot force a religion down there throats. Just putting one almost makes this whole country one religion, does it not? And, that is against the constitution

It should be,
"In (insert religious god here) We trust"
To let the person reading it work it out. Not just God or Gods or Gods and Goddesses or Goddesses.

Correction, if they put "In God we Trust,"
They also have to put,
"In Allah (Pease be on him, and his holy messenger Mohammed), Buddah, God (Bow your head to Thor, Zeus, and thousands of others), Godesses (Praise be to Freya, Frig, Hera and all others), Buddah, L. Ron Hubbard, Invisible Pink Unicorn (Praise to her flying goodness), Flying Spegetti Monster (Praise to his noodly appendage), Yahwe, Yaoi & Yuri and their sercants the Yuke and Seme (As proposed by Bob, Shiv and Rene);" and any others I haven't listed, cause I can't remember them at the moment.

Depends what you mean by "isn't it said." If you mean "isn't it said by people who tell lies", then yes, quite possibly. But if you mean that God says that, then I'd like to see some Scripture supporting it. If God thinks children are so innocent, why does He command that they should be killed so often?
If they get that, why can't other religions have something like " In the gods and goddesses we trust?"
Because God is real, your "gods and goddesses" aren't.

So you want to privilege the rights of the 0.1% of America's population who are stupid enough to follow Wicker, Paganism or Druidism over the 13.2% are non-religious or secular? Friend, there are probably more Communists than pagans in the US - do you think they should be given a say in what goes on?

Because God is real, your "gods and goddesses" aren't.
But you're "god" isn't real, so why should he get special treatment? There is no difference between you're "god" and any other "god or goddess." They're all imaginary.

Yeah, it's part of this thing called equality, and freedom to practice one's religious beliefs without being persecuted by anyone, as long as said religious practices does not put anyone in danger, or over step the boundaries of the laws of the land.
So yeah, it shouldn't matter if you're religion is the majority or in the minority, all people have the freedom to practice their religion without being persecuted or attacked (verbally, or otherwise.)
Which is exactly what you people are doing when you use racial slurs against people of different religions.

If God doesn't exist, then why are you spending so much time and energy whining about it? I mean really, why are you here stomping your feet and getting all worked up about something that doesn't exist according to you?
We sure aren't keeping you.
1Cor:9-11
I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
