  • Good news for the economy!

We've heard about the glorious successes of our Divinely hand-picked President's policies in diplomacy, nation-building, and education, but now there's wonderful news about our economy as well — so wonderful, in fact, that not even the liberal MSM can overlook it.

    Liberal MSM "news" source

In the first paragraph, the liberal MSM spin machine goes into gear:

Americans earned a smaller average income in 2005 than in 2000, the fifth consecutive year that they had to make ends meet with less money than at the peak of the last economic expansion, new government data shows.
But when you read further, the good news that they've tried to bury becomes evident:

The growth in total incomes was concentrated among those making more than $1 million. The number of such taxpayers grew by more than 26 percent, to 303,817 in 2005, from 239,685 in 2000.

These individuals, who constitute less than a quarter of 1 percent of all taxpayers, reaped almost 47 percent of the total income gains in 2005, compared with 2000.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

I made a killing in 2005. I made a whole lot of money that year, too! Thanks to the decrease in the capital gains tax, I paid a lower percentage in taxes than most teachers, nurses, and policemen (a.k.a. "The Suckers"). Our President is wise enough to use the tax code to teach people that unless you feed Momma Capital by sacrificing your touchy-feely principles for principal, you're going to be punished. Case closed!

Re: Good news for the economy!

In 2005, I had just graduated with my Master's in International Affairs from Regent University, and I was immediately hired by a think tank in Washington. I didn't make a whole lot of money that year-- maybe $48,000-- but in late 2006, I was named Assistant Undersecretary for Strategic Affairs at the US Embassy in Baghdad. My current government salary of $168,000 does not include my room in the Embassy, my body armor or meals (PLEASE!! No more lobster!). So I would have to say the US economy is going great, just like our fantastic daily progress we're making here in Iraq. Anyone who says otherwise is just part of the misguided, angry left.
